You have an -ie thing going on. I dont care for any of them with that particular spelling, sorry.

Shelbie, Sydnie, Mollie. (I like traditional spellings though but that's just me.) I think I like Molly the best. I know a little girl named Molly Lane. I like it.

I personally like the name Madison, and if my DS was a girl that would have been the name. You could go with Maddie for short.

changing the spelling isn't an option ---other girls are spelled with "ie" so this one will be the same....just wanted to know about the names - not the spelling.....
THANKS for the opinions, though!

Well, if it HAS to be the -ie thing, Sadie and Maggie are the only options.

ETA: Sadie gets my vote by FAR. :goodvibes

Gotcha, luvmyfam444.

I really like Sydnie too. On second thought it's a tie between Mollie and Sydnie. I haven't run across many Sydnie's or Mollies and they are nice names.

Just my .02.

All are lovely names, but I like Shelbie and Maggie best.

My first choice would be Shelbie, with Maggie following close behind.

I would vote for Maddie cause I have a Madison, and if we ever call her Maddie that's how we'll spell it.

My vote is for Macie, I like Mollie too but thats my horse's name and she's a biter!

By process of elimination for me - I know of several dogs & cats with the names Shelby, & Sadie so that lets them out. Then because of spelling only (there are a few on the list I like better but changing the spelling is not an option) the rest of the list gets narrowed down to Maggie.

What about Valerie?

I thought the same thing about Maggie and Mollie. I used to work with a woman named Mollie and she hated it , because she said the only time some else had her name was when it was a dog.
I like Sydnie. I love the spelling too. We had our DD's name narrowed down between Haylee and Sydnie. DS picked Haylee though. I like the unusual spellings as you can tell by my DD's name.

I love Mollie........there are not many of those unlike the Maddies (Madison) and Sydnies..........I would opt for something different than the common girls names now, and you have several good ones chosen.

I don't care for the ie thing either. The only name that appeals to me at all is Molly. If I meet one more little girl named Madison I'm going to scream. It has become the Lisa of the 70 & 80's I think. There like 3-4 Madison in a class in preschool now. Yuck.
