Does anyone know which brands of baby milk (if any) are on sale in the hotel shops?

I know they sell Heinz baby food but would like to know if they sell Cow and Gate Baby Milk?

It might be better to think about bringing your own or consider alternatives from Auchan hypermarket :goodvibes

We were hoping to cut down on luggage to be honest, but will probably take our own to be sure.

If the Auchan supermarket is at Val d'Europe then i don't think we'll have time on this trip as the flight times make it a bit of flying visit.

Thanks for your help.

Sorry I've no direct experience as DD had milk on tap from mother ;)
Hopefully someone will remember if they seen C&G milk :)

On a related note, i'm sure we've never had a kettle when we've been to DLP before and have always had to borrow a hairdryer from housekeeping.

Can you borrow a kettle from houskeeping for boiling water for feeds etc?

Hi,
We;ve just returned from our trip to DP, and we asked for and got a kettle free of charge to boil our baby's water for her milk. We brought sachets of follow on milk (from Boots), as well as a few small boxes for times when we would not possibly have access to hot water.
I didn't notice any baby formula for sale in the shops, however, I was not looking for it as my baby is 20 months and is able to drink regular milk, which they did sell in the gift shop.

Excellent, thank you very much.

Our youngest is 4 months so she needs her formula (and lots of it!) so we'll have to bring our own.

Did you boil bottled water or tap water by the way?

The last couple of times we've been we've just had our eldest who is now 4 and we just filled her bottle with fresh milk from the breakfast room and kept it in the fridge in the room until night time.

when we went march 06 we didn't see anything like that.....but we had taken our own anyway...the ready made stuff in cartons...more expensive but no fuss.

To be honest we've been stocking up on the ready made stuff in the cartons, but as you say an expensive way of doing things and takes up a lot of luggage space/weight.

Its only for 3 days so i think we'll do that anyway.

What about water for in between feeds though? Is the tap water safe to boil and use or should we boil bottled water?

We've taken two formula fed babies to DLP on 5 occassions. We tend to take formula in powder and then boil the tap water in the bottles. There are some excellent sterilising bags you can fill and hang up in the bathroom at night to treat the bottles using cold water (they are sold at Mothercare). The baby centres are excellent. You can buy formula from the babycare centres, but it is a different brand and could upset your baby's tummy.

As for kettles and bottle warmers, all the hotels have them, just ask at the counter. Also, to warm the bottles in the parks, the counter services will give you hot water in a couple of large cups (just explain and show them the bottle, and the cast are great).

And for changing, although the baby centres are excellent, almost all the toilets (including the men's) have a changing mat area.

Have a great time.

Cheers thanks for that, we have actually bought a travel steriliser from Mothercare which you can use as either a cold water steriliser or in a microwave.

Last year (with our 8 month old son) we took the ready made cartons and the steri bottles. the milk you could buy there was nestle.
the food was also nestle and there was only 2 jars to choose from, wish we had taken all our own food too as he he didn't like either of the jars. he lived on fruit and youghurts.
we never went to the supermarket though.
The baby centres were great. never warmed milk as it was so hot!!
