Baby Jogger City Elite belly bar

Hi all wondering if those who have a baby jogger stroller can help me out. Just received my baby jogger earlier this week and realized that it does not come with the belly bar, you have to buy it separate . We leave in a little over a week for our trip so I don't know if I can get one in time. Has anyone used their jogger without the belly bar and did your kids have any real problems trying to sit up without one?

We have had our BJCE for over a year - I have had others with belly bars - I really prefer NOT having one. Evie has never had a problem. but I also have a strap with a buckle that makes the seatback sit a little straighter otherwise she kinda lounges back. I also have the toddler jump seat and jump seat canopy for the stroller too. If you get these- there is not much leg room for the kiddo sitting in the stroller when the jump seat is on. That is the only drawback I have had to this stroller - I love mine for WDW too!

Thanks, that's good to hear. We leave in a week and really don't have time to order the belly bar and get it in time. I was a little worried about it. I do have the straps on the back as well. I haven't put the stroller together yet but will try it out and see how far they can sit up.
