Baby Jake's MAW trip 2013

Hi everyone!!!

Lots of fun things happening here but I've been without Internet for a while so I'll catch up over the next couple of days.

The biggest thing is we finally took the leap on our dream of moving to the country. We got a house on 4 acres and are now (mostly) moved in.

All the kids are enjoying the change of pace and Jake is loving all the neighboring animals.

Last night I got notice that Jake's wish is all approved and today we got our dates-- we are going May 16-22. We are so so excited and now the real fun of planning begins!!!

Congratulations on your new home! And hooray for getting the dates! I can't wait to hear about your plans :)

So glad that you updated :) , I always worry when a family doesn't post in a while.

So exciting that your dream of moving to the country came true. :goodvibes Yay for dates :cheer2:

Oh my goodness, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed here. I'm trying to make some reservations but I don't know what's going on at GKTW while we're there so don't want to plan ALL of our time at the parks so that Jake and our other kiddos can enjoy GKTW too.

So far, I've got pirate makeovers scheduled for our first day at Magic Kingdom for the three biggest kiddos....I couldn't schedule one for Jake because he's going to be 6 weeks shy of being 3 years old when we go.

Any ideas for something fun I could schedule for Jake that would accommodate his age?

Has anyone ever done the dining experience that goes along with the VIP tickets for Fantasmic? We've gone to Disney three times with our older children and never once made it to Fantasmic...I'd really like Jake to see it if possible.

I'm pretty sure the GKTW activities stay the same week to week - are they listed on their website? If not, if you post on the Wish Trippers thread I'm sure someone will know the schedule. :)

Pirate makeovers will be fun. pirate: Sorry Jake is too young. Would he be interested in the face painting?

We've done the Fantasmic package, but it was 7 years ago, so I'm not sure how it's changed since then. We also had free dining, without that we've always just gone to the show with out the dining. We really like Fantasmic - I hope you're able to see it.

Try the Barbershop for Jake. They do haircuts, but they also do colored hair spikes and pixie dust. It's all ages and only around $15. You can call to make reservations.

Just joined in on your ptr. You have such a sweet family! I am excited that Jake gets to do something really fun before his surgery. I hope your planning is going well!

Oh my gosh -- It's almost here!!!

We leave Thursday morning and there is still so much to do but I do have a lot already done.

I have all of the kids clothing all packed, except Jake - he was napping when I did the majority of it so I still have to get into his closet tomorrow and get the rest that I'm taking for him.

I still have to make a list of all Jake's medical things so that I don't forget ANYTHING (I'm having this recurring fear that I will).

And of course, as if I wasn't stressed already, the Make-A-Wish foundation called today and said that the case worker needed to sign one more paper before we leave. Sure, no problem....they're always available when I need something.

Anyways, I'm reminding myself to take a deep breath and relax -- it will be here SOOOO soon and I don't want any left over stress getting on that plane with us ;-)
