I know you can't bring glass into the parks, but do they are exceptions for baby food? My 10 month old toothless son still loves jarred baby food, so I imagine we'll want to have some on hand in the parks. No big deal if we can't bring the glass - I can just bring lots of little tupperwares. I might bring a few anyway bc broken baby food jars don't sound fun. Also OT but if anyone has any tips on transitioning from puréed food to actual table food that would be great. We've tried a few things (eggs, avocado, bananas) but he picks them up, puts them in his mouth, and spits them out. Again he has no teeth yet...but he can mash those puff things with his tongue and gums.

Glass baby food jars are an exception to the rule.

A toothless baby can manage more than you might imagine ;) my oldest got her first tooth two weeks before she turned one and she was managing cut up bananas, cut up pancakes, cut up canned green beans along with several other types of food before she had any teeth. Since before they are one food is really just for 'play' don't worry too much about how much they actually eat. Offer appropriately cut up food and stay close to be sure they can manage it and let them test it out.
As far as baby food. I know you can bring it into the parks but I would bring the stuff in plastic containers for fear of the glass breaking.

I would try to find the foods that she eats in another brand that has the plastic or the pouches and make sure she will eat them before you do. They will be much easier and safer to carry. Apple sauce is pretty much going to taste the same and unless you are using organic, should not matter if you use another brand.
I would also continue to introduce more table foods at home now to see what would work. There are tons of food that your baby can eat and might love. I would not introduce anything new at WDW simply because you don't know if or when she might react to a new food and WDW is not where you want to learn about an allergy!!!!!

I would be starting table food at home before you leave for Disney. youngest grandson was eating mostly table at 10 months and yes he was toothless until just past 1 year. when we eat out he has to have what we are eating but that is him. he refused most baby food

Thanks for the replies. We'll keep trying new table foods at home, but it's nice to know we can bring the jars in a pinch. I agree that plastic would be better anyway.

to OP are you feeding jarred food at room temp or warmed? if warmed remember that you will be given cup of hot water to warm. only place to be able to microwave is the baby centers and carry to ressie after warming which means the baby food will cool off as you travel and wait to be seated. babhy food will not be warmed in the kitchen

He eats it cold...i never even knew people microwave it?! He's never had it any other way. But thanks for the tip :-)

I have a 6 month old son, and i use the Gerber brand pureed foods. They come in two different sizes and they are in plastic containers. I would recommend buying some of these as you won't have to worry about broken containers and they would probably weigh less than glass. You can also try cereal puffs for snacks.
