This is probably a silly question, but its my first time cruising with an infant. I will be able to find baby food on board, right? :wave2:

NO! DCL has no babyfood on board. You must bring your own.

that explains why the table next to us fed yoplait yogurt & cheerios to their baby every night. wow, i had no idea.

there is a small supply of formula in the gift shop

You can also buy baby food in port if you want, but be safe and bring your own.

I am so glad that I asked this question! Packing dozens of small glass jars in my suitcase is going to be a problem! I am really surprised about this! Thanks for the quick responses! :earseek:

When our babies were still on babyfood, I made most of it from scratch. when we travelled we would bring this little baby grinders for baby food that is really small and easy to pack. You could make your own smashed bananas, ask for well cooked veggies (potatoes, carrots, broccoli, green beans, peas, etc.) and grind them up with some formula or breast milk. I'm sure they have avocados that you can smash up and mix with other things too. Avocados are great for babies.

Just an idea.

Gerber sells baby food in plastic containers. It's lighter and the shape is easier to pack.

I packed a few baby food jars in round rubbermaid container for vaction. That worked well. If they broke they wouldn't make a mess.

If you don't want to put it in your suitcase, you can order it rom Jetsetbabies.com. They will deliver it to the ship for you. Last year I packed enough baby food and formula for 17 days. But, as we were staying at WDW for a week following the cruise, I shipped a box of supplies to the hotel....formula, baby food, diapers, etc, etc. i did find a Walgreens in San Juan. Other than that, I found that drug stores in the ports didn't carry formula. (I went into a panic, and thought I needed more formula....I was worng, of course....)

Didn't I read a post a while back that in the dining room DCL would puree cooked fruits and vegetables to make baby food for you upon request? I'm still a little scared my baby won't eat it because it would not be what he was used to, but I may try thta at home to get him used to it before the repo. Packing 14 days worth of baby food and diapers would practically require another cabin!
