Baby cots

I will be booking soon for our forth coming trip and was wondering what do we request for a 5 month old baby to sleep in? What are the options and what works best?

they will provide a travel cot which they call a pack n play - don't ask for a cot, as it means a folding bed like a z-bed, what we call a cot is called a crib in the usa.

Most of the resorts already have the "pack & plays" in the rooms. You can request a full size crib, but they don't have too many of them. Also, bring your own blankets for the baby, Disney does not supply them. They only supply a fitted bottom sheet. The extra blankets they provide are way too big for a baby.

If you would like be sure of getting a proper full-sized cot (known as a crib in the US), another option is to rent one from off-site.

One firm that does this is "A Baby's Best Friend"; they will supply the entire setup, including linens. Their website is www.abbf.com (The photos there will also illustrate what an American calls a "cot". They also rent those.)
ABBF has a very good reputation for service and value among visitors who post here. (I'm not affiliated with them at all, I just think that they provide good service at a good price.)

The pack and plays work nicely. We have one for DS and he likes to sleep in it. It may be useful to put your baby in a different "crib" for a night or two before you leave just so they become used to sleeping in something else.

The pack and plays are also nice when you want to keep them from running around the room. It is like a play pen and if they have enought toys/animals they are usually fairly happy.

HI!

The resorts have a Pack N' Play which you can rent for free. I used it for my then 2 year old and it was perfect.
