baby carrier for larger woman?

Any type of ring sling works great. I have 3 kids and 3 different types of carriers and I love my ring sling the most. You can get a brand new one on ebay for pretty cheap.

Another vote for Hotslings! I love mine (have 3) and wish I wouldve known about them with my first child. I used a Bjorn with him and it hurt my back. The hotslings dont bother my back at all, and I have back problems. Only thing is theyre tricky to nurse in. Others reccommend an adjustable sling (ie Maya Wrap) for that.

i love my hotsling too and i'm a plus size woman. however, when first trying a sling i always recommend a kangaroo korner or other adjustable, especially for post partum so you can adjust as you shrink (hopefully! LOL).

good luck!

You can use a sling to carry older babies on your hips too. Its great to carry them and still have 2 hands to use!

I am a size 20 but not particularly large chested and I found the Ergo was fab, you can use it on the front or back, I liked it on the front and my DH on the back. The great thing is it has a waist strap so the babys weight is on your hips rather than your back

Yes, I totally agree! I did this when my DS was an infant and toddler and found it sooo helpful. :)

Wow, I thought I was a freak in the US with 40G girls! It's nice to know I'm not the only one. I usually feel better when we're in England, I don't feel so out of place since I can buy in department stores over there.

We have an over the shoulder baby holder and LOVED it. Since I'm short and rather round and DH is tall and not so round, it actually worked out well that we were both the same size. Our DD loved that thing. I miss carrying her around in it.

You can visit www.overtheshoulderbabyholder.com and see what they have as well.

Good luck!
