Baby Care Centers for Moms-To-Be?

I only used them for diaper changing once, but I know there are places she can rest in the first aid centers if she needs to.

I have only seen them used as a place for changing diapers and nursing or pumping. I didn't see anyone sitting around resting and I think they will probably not allow that since it could get crowded.

There is only one in each park, I think it would be easier to head to the nearest indoor counter service location and sit down for a while with a cold beverage. There is also the first aide center if needed, but it can also be a trek to get there depending on where you are in the park.

Does anyone know if expectant mothers are welcome at the Baby Care centers? I was thinking this could be a good place for our granddaughter to visit if she gets tired while in the parks this summer.

There are lots and lots of pregnant women in the parks every day. But there is only one Baby Care Center in each park. As the name would suggest, this facility is for the care and feeding of infants. Similarly the first aid center is not set up as a rest area. They do have beds, but these are reserved for guests with a medical need. Certainly if your DGD was feeling ill she could make use of that facility.

But just to put her feet up and rest? No. How about a shady bench? An air conditioned CS restaurant (please at least buy a beverage if going during meal times when tables are at a premium). Or sit through a couple of shows or longer attractions. Every park has a couple of attractions that last at least a half hour in air conditioned comfort. Best of all, since you know she will tire easily due to her pregnancy and the heat, make plans to return to your resort in the afternoon to rest and cool off before returning to the park in the evening.

I'm 27 weeks pregnant and spent the day Saturday at the parks. It wasn't too bad sitting on benches in the shade and there's plenty of AC opportunities between shops, quick service restaurants and attractions. I did a combo of skipping certain attractions all together and doing some people watching & then I also waited in some lines with the rest of my party and then took the last minute out option. The best thing was taking an afternoon swim break! Just make sure she drinks plenty of water, take some snacks and maybe a book (kindle etc) to help pass some time and she should be good.

Great suggestions...thank you!
