baby beds?

We were recently in a category 11 and DCL supplied a Graco pack n' play. It was clean and in very good condition. Every evening our room steward would unpack it as he turned down our room. In the morning, we put it away to give ourselves more room.

I believe these are supplied for all categories, not just category 8 and below.

Thanks Mary- I can't think of where a pack n' play would fit. Did you put it near the bed or in the space by the sofa? Could you use the sofabed also?

What we did is asked for a bedrail and used it on our bed. We rolled up some bath towels into a bumper; kind of in the shape of a long tube.

We placed the rolled up towels next to the bedrail and put Sarah next to the towels. Missy slept next to Sarah, and I next to her. It all worked out very well although I know some parents are very concerned about rolling over onto their children.

We agree that there isn't much room for a pack n play.

They will take the table out of your room to make some extra room for the pack n play.

Not much room for it in ANY of the rooms other than a cat 4 and higher.

Yes!! I forgot, they did take the table out to make more room. The pack n' play was placed between the sofa and the desk with drawers. We placed it closest to the sofa bed so we could squeeze between the desk and the pack n' play to get to our bed.
I hope that made sense :).

Any other questions, please ask. It was quite an experience traveling with our 11 month old. I have to say that she did alot better than we thought she would. I think the key is to be very, very flexible.

Good luck!!

If you're planning on getting a category 11 and want more space for the pack and play, ask for one of the "sideways" rooms. According to the Passporter, the ones on deck 6 sleep 3 and the ones on deck 5 sleep 4 but they would be great for Mom,Dad and baby.

The layout is similar to this layout of a cat 10 without the second bath (take out the wall and second sink)

Change the entrance to the "connecting" door and make the "open" door a solid wall.

The room is smaller than the picture (cat 11 instead of cat 10) but I think a pack and play crib would fit nicely where the picture shows the open door which is a wall in the sideways room. DD put a "body bag" sized duffel there and left it the whole 7 day cruise without it being in the way.

We really liked this layout for three adults. It seemed more spacious to us than the regular cat 11 staterooms and I think it would work great for adults traveling with an infant. Worst part would be having the baby close to the noisy toilet.

We just returned and I have to argee there wasnt a whole lot of room in a cat 11 stateroom. The Host would put up the crib for us each night so it wanst in the way. I booked a lenght way room for next cruise. More room. I saw my parents room and there is...

Also dont bother packing crib sheets they have them for you...
