"Babe, I Messed My Pants..." An Oct 2013 TR - FINAL UPDATE! Added 5/24

How were your fish and chips at Raglan Road? I made a reservation there for our anniversary trip in October then cancelled it so we could eat at Be Our Guest instead. However, now as I look at the food, I wonder if I should add it for another night. Is the food really good?

Oh man!!! That is pretty morbidly embarrassing! My DBF will sometimes let one go in public areas but its silent. And you know if anyone else is around I just repeat to myself "Whoever smelt it, dealt it" lol. Still I totally feel for you !!!

Soooo embarrassing! And it's not like he's going to come on here and defend himself so if he's gonna embarrass me, he's gonna get it right back! :lmao:

lol! "Just (about) Married" love it! Any thoughts on a Disney wedding or Disneymoon?

Oh yes! I get to call them next month to "pencil in" our date!

Raglan Road hasn't really interested me before but I'm now going to keep it in mind for DTD day. Looks and sounds like a great time!

I loved it here! Definitely a fun night out and probably more so on a busy night, if you don't mind crowds!

Oh man, I'm so hungry now! Looks like you did a fantastic job of getting in as many booths as you could! As sad as it is it is a great way to cap off a Disney trip!

We didn't even cover half of the booths but we did pretty good, I think! Better than we have in previous years! I will say that I think the prices are high for what you get ($7+ in most cases) but it's still a good time!

Can not wait to see if you meet Jack and Sally!!

Coming up shortly.... :thumbsup2

oh my gosh---the food pictures are making me SSSOOOOO hungry! and that dragon berry colada.....I don't even know what a dragon berry is, but I would so stick my face right in that glass! looks delicious!

I think it might be dragon fruit mixed with strawberries but it is freaking phenomenal! I would drink it by the bucket if I could!

your adventure with the waitress made me laugh. I know time flies at Disney, but it was amazing how you all went from engaged to married to celebrating an anniversary so quickly! :rotfl2:

She was a trip! She was so sweet but obviously having a hectic morning!

I loved the step dancing video at raglan road. our oldest used to take lessons, but it just wasn't for her. if I was the least bit coordinated, i'd learn myself, but that would not end well, i'm sure!

It's always cool to watch but I couldn't even get basic tap dancing down. I stopped taking lessons as soon as my mom let me! :rotfl2:

can't wait to hear about the party! we're going for the first time this September and i'm so eXCiTeD!!!!

MNSSHP is the best! I say that we go in October for F & W but I think I've been lying to myself and in actuality, we go for the Halloween Party! :rolleyes1

oh, forgot....whaaaaaat's with that dog? i'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say it's a companion animal for anxiety reduction. right? cuz otherwise, that's strange.....I mean, I love my dog too, but not enough to bring her to Disney.

More on the dog later....

Really good! And, although I'm sad to admit it... BoG doesn't even come close! We loved the ambiance of BoG but our food was disappointing. Not even in the same league!

I have to admit that the title of this TR drew me in :lmao: and I've loved every chapter!

I wonder how the dog liked the ride..:scratchin

We went back to the Boardwalk to get the backpack and as we're standing in the elevator lobby, he farts.

Most of the time, he does it on purpose because he knows it embarrasses me. So I had been pleading with him the whole trip to stop because one of these times, someone was going to hear him.

So he does it again and I just give him the stone-face. He starts giggling, then does it again.....

Just as a man is coming out of the elevator!

First of all....it was loud.

Second of all..... Lumar is lactose intolerant and he just had a grilled cheese sandwich and ice cream.

The man came off the elevator, and I could tell by the look on his face that not only did he HEAR it, but he then proceeded to walk THROUGH it.

I almost died.

I seriously cried the whole way back to the room because I was SO embarrassed. Not to mention upset because I'd been asking him the whole trip to stop and wouldn't. He apologized through fits of hysterical laughter for the rest of the night.

OH MY GOD!!! Brandon does the same freakin thing in Disney, in elevators, he thinks it's the funniest thing ever! See, I'm weird with what embarrasses me, but that doesn't! I'm just like "whatever, you did it, not me, and if anyone happens to walk in, I will be telling them that" :rotfl:

Anyway, I love Cape May, but I've never been there for breakfast. I think if I ever stay at the Beach Club again I'll try it, but there are still so many other places I need to go first for breakfast. Like the GFC and Kona! Yum!!

Mmmm Beaches and Cream, I'm so obsessed with that place now, the grilled cheese and tomato soup were so ridiculously good!!!

I seriously cannot wait for Food and Wine! I can't wait until they release the menus, but that's in like, July...ugh! Everything you had looked SO good!!! I need to keep a few days open with no ADR's so I can stuff myself! :thumbsup2

fell behind a bit ....

bummer about the hedge trimming but I guess everything has to be "show ready" at all times and who cares if people might be sleeping!

BTW - love Lumar's CM Punk shirt ... wore the same one (well, mine, not his) to Wrestlemania last year to see him lose to the Undertaker - good times

ah, but Lumar didn't get just a Guiness - he got the Foreign Extra which is a great beer!

yum - the bread pudding at Raglan is sooooo good! and the portion is huge! Raglan is one of our favorites - we seem to wind up back there every trip

You guys hit up quite a bit of the F&WF booths - good job!

I really liked the Barbere Style Beef but it definitely had a flavor that you either really like or really don't

Welcome to the world of lobster!

Oooooohhhhhh....I love all your F&W pics!!! You guys really did it right!!!!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I have to admit that the title of this TR drew me in :lmao: and I've loved every chapter!

Thank you so much for reading along!

I wonder how the dog liked the ride..:scratchin

I feel like the poor thing is a an old pro at this! Seems like she probably never puts the poor thing down. I wonder where she let it use the bathroom?? :confused3

Of all the things that Lumar does...I think the farting is the most embarrassing for me! I literally could have died right there. The look on that guy's face when he stepped off the elevator is an image I will never forget!

Anyway, I love Cape May, but I've never been there for breakfast. I think if I ever stay at the Beach Club again I'll try it, but there are still so many other places I need to go first for breakfast. Like the GFC and Kona! Yum!!

I liked their selection, I will say that much! But buffets in general just irritate me now because there's never any control.... people just cut in the line, condiments get everywhere.... you have to wait 20 minutes for them to refill things... But I also prefer other places first... I think I would really only consider going back if we were staying in the area.

Mmmm Beaches and Cream, I'm so obsessed with that place now, the grilled cheese and tomato soup were so ridiculously good!!!

This was the first trip we'd ever gone over there and we liked it well enough! Cute little place, with no wait! And hello? Ice cream!

I seriously cannot wait for Food and Wine! I can't wait until they release the menus, but that's in like, July...ugh! Everything you had looked SO good!!! I need to keep a few days open with no ADR's so I can stuff myself! :thumbsup2

We planned basically the whole day for F & W but two would definitely have been better! We got to about half the booths we wanted to try before we just couldn't eat anymore.

fell behind a bit ....

Quite alright! Life happens, I know!
:goodvibes

bummer about the hedge trimming but I guess everything has to be "show ready" at all times and who cares if people might be sleeping!

Seriously I was so annoyed! Overall, I was highly unimpressed with the BWV. It was nice enough, but I don't know if I'd go back! So many little annoying things happened during our stay that it just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The hedge trimming was just the icing on the cake. The first thing I think about when I think about the BWV is the noise from the hedge clippers!

BTW - love Lumar's CM Punk shirt ... wore the same one (well, mine, not his) to Wrestlemania last year to see him lose to the Undertaker - good times

Well now we're super jealous! Lumar has been a fan of wrestling since he could watch TV. He is literally a wrestling encyclopedia. It's his dream to go to Wrestlemania!

ah, but Lumar didn't get just a Guiness - he got the Foreign Extra which is a great beer!

Shows you how much (read: how little) I know about beer! :rotfl2:

yum - the bread pudding at Raglan is sooooo good! and the portion is huge! Raglan is one of our favorites - we seem to wind up back there every trip

All of the portions there were big! Well worth the trip over there and definitely one of our favorite places now!

You guys hit up quite a bit of the F&WF booths - good job!

Thanks! We've been down for F & W three times previously to this trip and literally ate at like one or two booths each time. I really wanted to get into it this year and I'm so glad we did!

I really liked the Barbere Style Beef but it definitely had a flavor that you either really like or really don't

Yeah, we were not fans. I can't place it, and maybe it's just the way it's cooked - ours was dry like a minute-steak texture....but that's a pass for me in the future!

Welcome to the world of lobster!

Thanks! Glad to be here! :rotfl2:

Oooooohhhhhh....I love all your F&W pics!!! You guys really did it right!!!!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thank you so much! It was a great day! We had a lot of fun and it was nice to try new things! Even though it was more expensive than I feel it should be... those little plates are truly 'samples' and some of them cost $7 a pop! When you're on vacation, you just do it because it's vacation, but in the real world I look back at it and compare it to the $60 room service pizza! Like 'yikes-what-were-we-thinking!?' :lmao:

The Cape May breakfast looks delicious! Sorry the characters weren't too enthusiastic though :(

Hahahaha I love the Just (about) Married card! Close enough, right?

I've heard such good things about the bread pudding at Raglan Road. It looks delicious.

Actually drooling over that cake with coconut mousse. I want!

My boyfriend keeps looking over my shoulder and asking "What's that?" to every single picture and then going "OOOOOOH." I'll have to get him to Food and Wine someday!

It was just Donald! Having a bad day, I guess!

It's the thought that counts!

I loved RR! We will so totally be going back!

It was delish!

I want to go back this year soooo bad but unless we win Powerball, it's not gonna happen! F & W is my favorite time to go! Just avoid it on Saturdays! :rotfl2:

"Oh My God! Is that..... Jafar!?"

Knowing that my priority for our third and final Halloween Party was to meet Jack & Sally, I wanted to get to MK early to get in line. The special character meet & greets usually start around 7:30, but the lines start forming at 4pm when they start letting party guests in.

I want to say there we got there around 5:30 but I don't feel like we waited for two hours.... But regardless, we immediately got into line. We knew we were going to have to wait 2 hours just for the meet & greet to start, and a CM told us upon entering the line, that the wait would be about an hour once the meet & greet started.

There was a nice couple behind us so we started talking and found out that the guy, Gary, used to be a monorail driver! A woman and her son get in line behind them, and it turns out that the son is in the CP and works at one of the resorts...I can't remember if he said Pop Century or The Poly... I'm leaning towards Pop but I can't remember for sure.

So we spent the next couple of hours chatting with them about working in Disney and how amazing it is. Both of them really loved their jobs and it was nice since I mostly hear a lot of complaining!

In our conversation....I happened to bring up the little dog from Norway earlier in the day, and they told me that basically, if you say that your dog is a service dog, they'll let you bring it into the parks with you. Gary said that sometimes they would ask you for some kind of paperwork, but most of the time, they don't bother and just let you in!

Umm.... OK.....

I can see that going horribly wrong at some point but....who am I? :confused3

Having the people behind us to talk to, really helped the time go by and before we knew it, it was our turn!!

Jack noticed our Just Engaged buttons and asked to see my ring. Then he called Sally over (who was telling Lumar that if she happened to start falling apart, there were plenty of leaves around that she could use to stuff herself with).

These shots were pretty interesting to me because usually, everyone stands together in a group, but Jack insisted that Lumar and I stand together, and then he and Sally stand together.

Either way, still a great experience! They were SO amazing and awesome and really spent a good chunk of time with us! I'm so glad we stuck out the line!

Obviously, I didn't take any notes this night.

I know that we watched the parade again, because it's my tied-for-first-place-favorite parade. We did some pin trading, and did several rides.

I took this one random pic while in the queue for the Haunted Mansion....

After we got off of the Haunted Mansion, we stopped for these:

(I love that last one!)

It was nearing the end of the night and we were leaving the next day, so we decided to head out around 11pm.

But we decided to make one last stop.....

Guys!

MICKEY

TALKS!!!

Here he is, telling us about a magic trick he's going to show us:

He tells me to pick a card....

And I'm not going to give away the magic behind it, but let's just say that yes, he picked my card!

When you leave Mickey, it takes you out through this back door where there is like a little covered patio area... A place I don't think I've ever even noticed before.

And as we're coming out (I'm not even paying the slightest bit of attention), I hear Lumar say "Oh my God!!" Like something incredibly unbelievable just happened.

Me: "What?"

Lumar: "Is that....? Is that Jafar?"

Me: "Where?"

Lumar: "Right there!" He points....directly in front of us.

Me: "Ummm...yes. Yes it is."

Lumar: "Oh my God!!"

There was NO one there. Literally, there was one group of people in front of us.

It was FANTASTIC! Lumar told him all about where he could find that street rat, Aladdin, and Jafar was very appreciative. For those of you that don't know, Aladdin is Lumar's favorite Disney movie!

After hanging out with Jafar, we headed back to the BWV for some packing (which, thankfully, I had mostly completed) and some sleep!

Up next: Our For-Real Last Day!

You met Jack and Sally!!! Yay!!!!!!:banana::banana: They look spectacular!

I love NBC! I went as Sally one year for Halloween. Ugh! And you are making me want to go to MNSSHP now! Stop it! You already got me going to Via Napoli!

Love your hitchhikers photos! Sometimes they can be hit or miss but the last two are great! :goodvibes

Sorry! At least I only have our departure day left!

Yeah, I definitely blinked last time and I was so mad! This year we had much better luck!

oh, jack and sally! totally love them! we went to a party one year as them. they are so fun! I totally want to make these shirts too!

http://blog.undercovertourist.com/2...ime-for-mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party/

I love your magic shots! I want to do that one too, I just hope we can get the girls to understand what we're doing. when we did magic shots last time, they weren't really getting it until they saw our pictures. I guess we'll see what we get..... you're pictures are making me so excited for our party!

Glad you got to the Jack and Sally meet you wanted and that the wait wasn't too bad.

Cool that you got to meet Jafar! If you guys get a chance to see Aladdin on Broadway you definitely should. The Jafar from the movie plays Jafar!

I have NO clue how I lost my subscription to this...please forgive me.

Mark and I have decided we are only going to try a couple of things at F&W. After his gallbladder surgery, he's been very careful about what he eats and HOW much he eats, so even though it is our first time, we will take it easy.

I'm so glad you got meet Jack and Sally. We've not seen the talking Mickey yet...I'm not sure I want to. :confused3

How awesome is it that you ran into Jafar as you exited, and with no line either. So happy Lumar got to see this character from his favorite movie. :goodvibes

Eating at all the booths is a daunting task! We missed at least half last year! and is one of the reasons I want to go back to WDW so badly this year! You did a pretty good job though!

Argh on the hedge trimming so early in the morning! How aggravating!

We aren't really breakfast people so starting the day with the booths works for us.

Hey there! I ADORE the Just About Married sign! So funny! :rotfl2:

Mmmmm - B&C lunch!

And RR - that is very high on my list of places I want to try.

Loved reading about seeing the pics of all the F&WF food - I so miss going at that time of year.

Oh, I love the pics with Jack and Sally!!! My DD examined them for a good 5 minutes.

I can’t wait to meet Talking Mickey next year!!! And how bizarre and cool that Jafar was just all by himself so you could easily meet him!

Those are super cute! I have ZERO sewing ability which is sad because my grandmother was amazing at it! I wish I'd been able to learn from her because these would be a lot of fun! I'll just have to stick with buying my shirts! :rotfl2:

The first time we ever did them (which was years ago) I was confused too! And I was adult! They'll catch on eventually! They really are so much fun!

Glad you got to the Jack and Sally meet you wanted and that the wait wasn't too bad.

I'm so glad we waited! A few years ago, we waited about an hour for the seven dwarfs and it was also totally worth it! I would never wait that long for a character I can see any time, but the special meet & greets are worth it!

Cool that you got to meet Jafar! If you guys get a chance to see Aladdin on Broadway you definitely should. The Jafar from the movie plays Jafar!

If I tell Lumar that, we will go to NYC tomorrow! :rotfl2: We want to see it so bad and just haven't had the money. The tickets for the show aren't terrible but the train is about $100 for both of us, plus food, etc. Hopefully we'll get there soon!

I have NO clue how I lost my subscription to this...please forgive me.

I'm super behind on everyone's TRs! Don't worry about it!

Mark and I have decided we are only going to try a couple of things at F&W. After his gallbladder surgery, he's been very careful about what he eats and HOW much he eats, so even though it is our first time, we will take it easy.

Totally understandable! We really scoured the menus before our trip so that I kind of had a plan in mind when we got there. I knew exactly which booths we wanted to go to and what we wanted to try from each one. It helped so much! The selection can be really overwhelming!

I'm so glad you got meet Jack and Sally. We've not seen the talking Mickey yet...I'm not sure I want to. :confused3

I was nervous about it but it was SUPER cute! Do it! :thumbsup2

How awesome is it that you ran into Jafar as you exited, and with no line either. So happy Lumar got to see this character from his favorite movie. :goodvibes

It was unexpected and a GREAT way to end the night, and our trip!

Eating at all the booths is a daunting task! We missed at least half last year! and is one of the reasons I want to go back to WDW so badly this year! You did a pretty good job though!

It really helped to have a plan in advance! We usually end up eating before we get there and aren't hungry enough to eat anything! Or we sit there scouring the menus while we're already there, hot, and tired and end up just going to eat CS because we can't wait any longer to decide, you know? I'm OK with what we got accomplished! And next time, I would probably plan it like this for two days so that we can hit the rest of the booths, too!

Argh on the hedge trimming so early in the morning! How aggravating!

The icing on the cake as far as we were concerned (and not the good kind of cake!). Between the problem with our luggage, the stupid machine in the middle of the floor, the longest walk ever to our room, the CM who didn't link our credit card to our MagicBands... We'd just had enough by the time we checked out. A bunch of little small problems are just as bad as one big problem, you know? We were missing AKV by the end of the week!

We aren't really breakfast people so starting the day with the booths works for us.

I loooooove breakfast! It's the one meal that I HAVE to have...and it has to be breakfast foods. Eggs, toast, pancakes, whatever... I can't stand eating non-breakfast foods as my first meal! I'm weird like that!

Hey there! I ADORE the Just About Married sign! So funny! :rotfl2:

Too cute, right!? It makes for a great story and a really nice souvenir!

Mmmmm - B&C lunch!

It was quite yummy and pretty convenient!

And RR - that is very high on my list of places I want to try.

Loved it! I can't wait to go back!

Loved reading about seeing the pics of all the F&WF food - I so miss going at that time of year.

It's really the only time of year that I have any desire to go! We tried Christmas...I wasn't impressed. We did March.... it was "eh." We did July and September and it was too hot and too crowded. May wasn't terrible though.... I'd go again in May, especially for Star Wars Weekends.... but then I'd want a follow up trip in October for F & W! :rotfl2:

Oh, I love the pics with Jack and Sally!!! My DD examined them for a good 5 minutes.

Too funny! We had a great time, they were absolutely fantastic. I wish I'd thought to record it because they were THE BEST!

I can’t wait to meet Talking Mickey next year!!! And how bizarre and cool that Jafar was just all by himself so you could easily meet him!

The thing with Mickey is that he obviously can't respond to individual questions. You have to let him lead the conversation and then you just play along. You can't really venture off his little path if you know what I mean! Jafar was awesome! We were so excited for that one!

Well, it's finally here! The very last update for this TR! I apologize again that it's taken me so long! Things have been so crazy at home and at work!

For our departure day, I decided I wanted to do an evening flight. It was a Friday so neither of us had to work or anything the next day. And I wanted to be able to get up, pack up our stuff, check out, and eat breakfast without being rushed.

I took a couple of final pictures of the BW lobby:

I think we checked out around 10am or so, we checked our luggage and left our carry-on bags with bell services while we headed to DTD!

Duffy was dressed in his WDW RR Conductor gear!

Our mission: Pin Trading of course! We had a ton of fun and stopped mid day for lunch at EoS!

I have no idea what Lumar got to eat but I know I had a Tuna Melt and I know it was fantastical!

I felt terrible because Lumar was showing signs of a cold! He had told me the day before that he wasn't feeling well and I was hoping it would go away but he was pretty miserable while we walked DTD!

We headed over towards the West Side so we could make one final pass through of D-Street.

We pretty much went into just about every shop, just to pass time. If Lumar had been feeling better, we were going to stop at Splitsville for some bowling but he couldn't handle it.

We stopped at Ghiradelli on our way back to the Marketplace, and I got the chocolatiest thing on the menu. Which I regretted because for one thing, it was just way more than I could comfortably eat, and two, it made me super thirsty. But it was delicious!

Just before we left, we stopped into the art store and browsed around. I found something just I had to get.....

I mean, for one thing - Robin Hood is one of my favorite movies. But the fact that it will forever be part of my life now because Lumar used a quote from the movie as his proposal on our very first night of this trip.... This vacation basically started and ended with Robin Hood! I thought it was kind of a cute way to commemorate a really special trip!

We had it shipped home and then got back on a bus for BWV. We picked up our carry on bags, and DME came to pick us up around 3pm, I think. I think our flight was at 5 or 5:30pm.

For dinner, I stopped at Panda Express.... because their orange chicken is delicious. I think Lumar got Chik-Fil-A but I don't remember!

We finally boarded our flight back home and I took these as we began our decent into CT. They aren't the greatest but I think they're kinda cool!

So that's the end! We had an absolutely amazing trip and I'm so glad that so many of you stuck with me and shared our experience!

Oh! And I don' know when exactly, but my neighbor is DEFINITELY getting evicted! I know it's soon.... but no one will give me an exact day she has to be out by. But I know the end is in sight and I just hope they put a nice little old lady or something up there next!

Thank you so much for reading along! I hope you all enjoyed my little tale and I can't wait to come back and start my Pre-Wedding TR!!

Ali, I'm sorry to see your TR end, but excited for your wedding PTR.

I'm sorry that Lumar was not feeling so well on your travel day home, but glad you were able to enjoy DTD. That ice cream is screaming to me right now...but I'm too full from our dinner that we just finished at Olive Garden.

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed as always.
