We've all been on the look out for this one haven't we lol! They are late this year, I was getting a little anxious.

Thanks. I think I have, although not directly with BA. Oddly, their flights for my dates have gone up nearly £100 per person overnight, but have dropped by almost the same amount on Kayak through Budget Air (same flights, just via an agent).

I don't suppose you know anything about Budget Air? Reviews are very mixed, which is not unusual, but it's trying to sift the genuine compliments and complaints from those posted by folk who maybe didn't know enough when they booked, if that makes sense

BA have a price promise in which they will never knowingly be undersold. I would give them a call and tell them what you've found elsewhere. They should price match. They may want screen shots etc but they should match it.

I'd wondered if they would. There used to be a note on their website saying they are always cheapest for their own flights but I wasn't sure if they would match prices through a search site directing you to a third party agent. I noticed last week that the price promise wasn't there anymore. It's worth a bash. I will save the screenshot and give it a go Thanks

I don't know quite how or why but I was looking at flights for October and the inbound flight on 8th November is cheaper in PE than it is in Economy

I noticed that too. The date are all over the place for the diff cabins. It looks like economy is only on sale up until March. Premium looks roughly the same but with some in May and June and Club World is on full sale all the way through to June. So in some cases Club could even be a better deal than Premium. A case of have a play around and see. Some great deals to be had on certain dates.

I decided to suck it up, can the ridiculous stress I'm putting on myself and book directly through BA. I think I wouldn't have relaxed using an unknown agent, but I can still call them on their price promise (the terms of which I read through carefully and left me under the clear impression that they price match only after bookings are made, not before you buy??) There is a 24 hour cooling off period so hopefully. I didn't think I'd have enough time to do all that during my lunch 'hour' but I will ring tonight from home and post what they say. You know what, I would of done the exact same thing. I would always choose to book direct. I'm just not into taking chances. Wayyyyy to stressful for me.

I had had success with this before but it was literally £50 or something on soe Europe flights.

Def make sure you have that screenshot as I had to email them that too. I don't see any reason why they won't honour it.

For some reason it won't let me submit the form.

i have triple checked every field is completed but when hitting submit it takes me back to a blank form with all fields marked in red saying I have to complete missing information

How frustrating!
Try clearing all your cookies and submitting again.
Look out for spaces and things like that between flight numbers.

If nothing works give them a call and perhaps a helpful agent can submit the claim for you.

Thanks. Cookies have been cleared but I thought I would give them a call when i get home tonight (which is when I should be doing the form except that it looked so quick and simple .....)

I will definitely let you know the outcome. Shame you're not local - I could have just showed up with my laptop, good coffee and cake - I think I at least owe you a decent cuppa after this lot

Can you not find any of the £1648 to work for you?
Presuming you are going to MCO or TPA of course.

I think it's partly the moral support that makes a difference.

I managed to get the form to submit from my laptop at home. There was no room to add a screen shot so I took 2 during the course of the afternoon which bear the booking page giving the breakdown, flight numbers and times (identical) and shows the time at the bottom of the page on the computer screen. Hopefully that will be enough if they ask - which I hope they do as it's a bit sneaky of them to give you 24 hours if you want to cancel or change but they will only respond in up to 2 working days re. refunds. The reviews on them giving refunds are not hopeful as it seems they typically find a way to exclude the quotes based on some of other clause, but all the criteria of mine do check the boxes. I only have no control over their little disclaimer at the bottom stating that they (BA) will have authority on the final interpretation of their terms and conditions (I read that to mean that they will tell you it means what they need to so that they can be right. ) Ah well, it's done and dusted and I have until noon to change my mind. I did try c all anyway tonight to see if I could speak to someone about it over the phone but for obvious reasons the lines were so busy I gave up just before 8 pm as I knew the lines would close and cut me off and that would have annoyed me even more. I will keep you updated though
