BA premium upgrade costs?

Hiya y'all,

After inspiration from Penderbelle's previous post, Does anyone have any insight as to how much it would cost at the airport or on-board to upgrade from standard (cattle) to premium with British airways on the way home from Orlando?

I have a long drive from Gatwick back home to deepest. darkest West Wales and the idea of a little more comfort and maybe a little more sleep for not too much extra cash is tempting.

We rang yesterday for January and were told £400+ for outbound and return inclusive!

We upgraded a week ago from MCO to World Traveller Plus and it was $250 each. Actually was not worth it. In herd class we might have been able to spread out and the arm rests would have retracted into the seat backs. In WTP the arm rests are fixed and there is no chance to move seats to spread out.

I booked my flights last Christmas in the sale to Las vegas return for £700 each World traveller plus, you just need to keep checking, something always comes up i find

Thanks for all the info.

Been at work ALL over Xmas (Double-time with triple for the "big"day, would be silly not to) so not been on here for a couple of days.

Have found out that if you are travelling with a disabled person (Sis is), you can pre-asign seats for free (now done for both out and return) so with only! £40/$50 for that second suitcase each, maybe we won't be on premium, but are sat together and not a silly price for extra luggage.

Yay, single digit dance not too far away.
