B-Line Diner Closing

Had lunch on Monday at B-Line Diner - fabulous as usual - but unfortunately it closes it's doors at the end of the week - after a major refit it will re-open as California Grill - not sure if it will cater for the same type of food but probably will be a steakhouse style of restaurant - it's a shame because B-Line Diner was one of the great Orlando food experiences. The Peabody Hotel where it is located is superb and well worth a visit for a drink in one of the bars anyway.

That's one struck off from my list - what a shame, we were really looking forward to eating there. Definately next week is it ? We'll be a couple of weeks too late!

That is a shame - we've only eaten there once, but it was great. If they're replacing it with a branch of http://www.calcafe.com/CaliforniaCafe/index.html]California Cafe[/url] like the one at the Florida Mall, then I can recommend it, but it's not nearly as unique as the B-line Diner.

All is not lost, folks (I hope!). I've done a quick bit of checking and it seems there may be a re-think going on. The very latest word from my Orlando contact (who spoke to the Peabody's PR) is that the plans for the B-Line Diner are on hold for 'other priorities' and that the Diner will be staying open for the time being. The suggestion is clearly that it will change at some stage in the future, but, for now, they have decided to leave alone.
