My husband & I leave for Sedona, Arizonia on Tuesday. Any good suggestions on what to do? We are meeting my parents and staying at their time shar. Thanks

I've never been, so I can't help you there, but my friend just returned from there and said it was beautiful - but very expensive. :sunny:

Have a good trip. :)

Thanks, I guess we'll have to eat in alot. I'll be getting all my free meals (ddp) when I go in August & Sept.

Take a Pink Jeep Tour! Gorgeous views and lots of fun.

We did the Pink Jeep tour! GREAT! WE had fun meals at Javelina Cantina and the Coffee Pot. The Chapel that was up in the rocks was nice, too. Can't recall the name. I think we had another great meal at a Space Themed diner.... maybe Red Planet?

We also drove over the Route 66 just to say we rode on it and to Winslow so we could be "standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona." Very cool.

I'ma bit tired tonight. That's all I can think of. Enjoy. It is breathtaking. We stayed at The Enchantment Resort. Nice!

I love Arizona. I've been to Sedona and Scottsdale twice. We took a train ride. We saw a lot of pretty scenery. The red rock is so pretty. Have a good trip!!!!

I've never been there, but it's on my list of "places I want to visit" -- There is actually a program on my tv on it right now -- the rock cathedral, the sinoa (sp?) cliff dwelling -- so cool.

You will like Sedona. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. It is a nice artsy community and it is very expensive. The church in the rock is cool and you can even take a day trip to the Grand Canyon if you want. Oh, it is Arizona, not Arizonia! :rotfl2:

Have a great trip! We love it there and you will have a great time!

:sunny: Thanks, every body for your advice. I am really looking forward to it. Sorry my spelling is so bad! :confused3

We were there a few years ago while doing a geological survey course (DH and I were finishing our Master's degree), and I have a very overpriced T-shirt to show for it! :rotfl2:

We were also in Sedona and ate at a restaurant with a name that had something to do with "Cattle Company" or something like that. It was a fairly expensive steak restaurant. DH and I both were very sick that night, so we don't think it was a coincidence.

I liked Slide Rock Park to cool off in. Oak Creek Canyon is right up the road and is very pretty. We enjoyed the wild life and nature at Red Rock State Park when we went hiking.

So you're going to the "real" big thunder railroad! Have fun! It's almost as pretty as WDW! :)

We wrapped up last summer's vacation with a few days in Sedona. We did a Pink Jeep Tour and it was great. They have a web site to check times, tours, and prices. We spent a morning at Slide Rock State Park. Get there when it opens, there was a line of cars waiting for parking spots to open when we left around 1 or 2 pm. We had lunch at Cowboy Club which included an appitezer of cactus, buffalo, and rattlesnake! We also had a great breakfast at a place the waitress told us to try-I forget the name, but it had something like 100 different omlettes. It may have been the Coffee Pot another poster mentioned. We also ate at a Mexican place-a long name beginning with Tz..... HHmmm I'm a big help;) ;) Of course, take time to browse through all the cool shops. Have fun!

Yes! The Coffee Pot's claim to fame was the 100 Omelettes! We kept the paper menu. It was an interesting place with a view of Coffee Pot rock!

:sunny: Thanks guys, I'm all excited. Pink Jeep here we come. We definanitly will have to try out the omlets.

Check out 'Slide Rock'. It was always fun as a kid.

It's a very beautiful area too. :)

We just got back. Had a great time. Had an omlette at the coffee cup. Went on the pink jeep tour. Went to the Imax and the grand canyon buses. Went on a train ride. Had a buffalo burger at Cowboy's. Had a spooky hamburger at the Haunted Hambuger in Jerome. We loved the scenery and the cactus' were in bloom. A little too hot. We decided a great place to visit, but not to live. Thanks for everyones advice.
