That all depends. Does said friend have a party or gathering of some sort directly related to his/her birthday? If so, they get a gift. If not, I activate my strict "no party, no present" rule.
But, there is this one E-card that I send everyone on their birthdays.
Typically, we decorate their lockers, shove a big bag of cookies in there, and a stuffed animal and a lip gloss. Then we all have a huge sleepover, and we do the stereotypical stuff; dress up, do each others make up, pillow fights, the whole thing.
We usually don't do anything.
This year I gave each of my friends 5 dollars and for one of their birthdays we walked to sonic and hung out.
They usually don't remember my birthday, it's on a school day.
I stay home and celebrate with my family. Which is rather fun.
Ok it depends on the friend for my B-day I dont tell anyone except my closest friends it here and pray that dont do moring announcements then that weekend I ussually invite about 100people to a swim party at the local swimming pool. Then after my closest friends (about 10 of them) go to my house in a limo and we have a sleep over and we go to the movies and see a movie and we have limo pick us up and takes us back to my house and then we ussually just hang out
The day before their birthdays (or the day before Friday if their birthday is on Sat. or Sun.) a couple of my other friends help me decorate their lockers. We usually put balloons on the outside and a big sign that says "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!" then inside on the door we tape up our cards, bags with gifts, other signs, streamers, etc. It's a lot of fun to do
normally at school we just go around telling everyone its the persons birthday. my birthday party was last nite/this morning and we had pizza, cake, and presents...then did hair...went to the first school dance...came back and did more hair and played games. thats pretty much it.
My friends are amazing with birthdays. We make each other feel so special, it's great. For my birthday on the 10th, they'll probably decorate my locker or just go around telling everybody.
I'm usually the one who throws an awesome party, no kidding. My friends have get togethers or sleepovers at their houses, but ever since I was little, I was known for having insane parties. Last year we went to see The Drowsy Chaperone (a Broadway play) for my 15th birthday. The best one I've ever had was for my 12th...we all dressed up and rented a super stretch limo to drive us around town. Then we went back home and watched a movie that my dad made that involved us talking and interacting with celebrities, even though they weren't really there. It was like cutting and pasting from movies, it was cool. If I'm ever able to upload it somewhere, I would show you guys.
But I guess my Sweet Sixteen this year is just all about me. I'm not having a party, but my mom and I are going to Disney, which I really wanted to do for my birthday. My actual birthday is the day I get back from Disney, so that's when I get my presents and stuff. And I have school that day, but I don't mind. I'll feel all special
