B-day in Disney ?

My son will be having his 8th b-day one week before we go to Disney. I have heard about all the fun things that Disney can do for a b-day. My question is will they still let you do them after the actual b-day?

I was in Disney for my Birthday....although I'm not 8, my husband went in and got a "It's My Birthday" pin for me, nobody asked to see if it's actually your Birthday. Our reservations had my birthday attached to it, and they did a couple of special things, that my kids really enjoyed!!!
