Short Question: Does Steakhouse 55 have an option for take out at all...?

Long Question: I am celebrating my 35th in the park :) It falls on a Tuesday last week on January so I am thinking its gonna be slow all around. I love fine dining but we save it for special occasions. However, even with short hours I am sure my daughter's normally good manners will be strained after 3 days at the park. I would love a full meal at Steakhouse 55 as that menu entices me the most. (Napa Rose and Carthay just don't jump out at me.. and probably no chance of sneaking into Club 33) It would be bummer to splurge on evening that ends up being us just trying to keep her happy. So. I was thinking about getting take out, or maybe they have an area a kiddo can go so we can get a few appetizers to share (honestly out of everything I really want the tartare). Or, should we just try a late dinner and hope for the best?

Short Answer: I don't think they have an option for take out.

Long Answer: You can try the Lounge at Steakhouse 55, I've heard they offer the full restaurant menu at the lounge but cannot confirm as I've never tried. From what I remember the Lounge is fairly close to the waiting area for Goofy's Kitchen so if your daughter's manners are strained it shouldn't be that much of a concern.

I believe they only offer the full menu at the lounge bar, which i don't think you'd be able to sit at since i'm guessing your daughter is under 21. They do have a lounge menu that differs from the steakhouse menu though. You could check to see if they have something similar to what you want.

Would getting a sitter be an option? There are services that posters here have used when staying in the DLR area (on site and off). Some services are highly recommended. Just ask and I'm sure DISers will chime in with the names.

You could make the whole trip a birthday trip and since you love fine dining have dinner at Steakhouse 55 at the start of your trip when your daughter might not be as tired.

Or you could make it a low key day, go back to your room in the afternoon to rest so your daughter won't be as tired at dinnertime.

Have dinner early in the evening. It looks like Steakhouse 55 opens at 5:00 so plan dinner around opening.

Table service restaurants have containers for leftovers so you could be seated, order and if your daughter is unhappy, ask for boxes to pack everything up. Unfortunately, I think this means you lose a lot of the fine dining/specialness of the evening.

How old is your daughter? We have found that if we are prepared (bring some things to quietly entertain them with things like noughts and crosses, colouring, maybe a little playdough we can be pretty happy.
Also if we know upfront what we want and warn our server, we have ordered all upfront (so not waiting for the end of dinner to get the dessert menu but doing it all right away can cut down a lot of time)
