Just want to know if anybody has seen it yet (I think first performances were yesterday) and what are their impressions? While I enjoyed Mo Rockin', I'm OK with change as long as it's a good act and up to standards. So I'm really hoping this will be a great show, plus I'm really interested in traditional music from that region.

I didn't think it was worse than the lumberjack show, personally. I actually liked the music. I'm not sure I would stop to watch, but I think the music might be a fun addition to the atmosphere while I'm looking around the shops. I can't say the same thing about the lumberjack show.

Its def authentic to the culture and their styles of music and dancing. I guess honestly in a way this is the type of entertainment needed at World Showcase right? If World Showcase is there to showcase the cultures and ideas of a certain country then its a good thing its authentic.

How long will it be before they are Berber Chanting "Let It Go"?

Thanks for the video link Surferdave.

That was fantastic and that's exactly what I'd love to see in World Showcase. Then again, I love learning new cultural things and that was perfect for Morocco. That puts the lumberjack show to shame.

It's an authentic Moroccan show by a troup from Marakech. This is what Ecot is supposed to be about, learning about another culture. Puts it miles above the lumberjack show. It may not be to your taste but it's a chance to open your mind and learn something about the world.

A fair point, to be sure. But one that Disney waters down when it overruns Norway with fictitious Arendelle. :scratchin

I did read a post on FB I think that someone had someone with them originally from Morocco and said they had never seen anything like that there :confused3

to me it sounds like a bunch of shrieking. Mo Rockin at least was entertaining

True, but that's also why we should embrace things that actually do things that show off the country's culture.

Mo Rockin was more USA than Morrocan.

This troop is from Marakech and the King of Morocco is still involved in the operation the Pavillion. This is probably the most culturally accurate Pavillion in Epcot right down to Moroccan tradesmen bring brought in yo work on the Pavillion. These facts tend to make me believe that are a good cultural representation.

It's "good" enough to be background music for the pavilion. As in, it should be playing lightly from the bushes. It's authentic, but a 20 minute show of that...not for me.

I was just about to say that. Maybe they could have a group of snowmen dancing to Let It Go to highlight Arendelle's culture. :furious:

It may be authentic. But I'm not going to spend park time standing there watching. It could be great to listen to at a restaurant or something, but it's not entertaining.

Sadly, since I clicked to look at Morocco I looked at the lumberjack show, which I'd been avoiding.

Just no.

As others have said EVEN IF I TAKE MY PARTIALITY FOR OFF KILTER OUT OF THE EQUATION there is still nothing to recommend that show.

Heads up to Disney. Even if you drive me into the stores because I can't get on rides 2nd to FP+ and because theres no entertainment, I won't buy things unless I'm feeling "warm and fuzzy" about Disney.

We watched them last week while having a cocktail. We thought they were great. Very entertaining, fun to watch. Big crowd, dancing and clapping. Morocco cast members also dancing and clapping. Loud applause and cheers.

We really enjoyed it.:)

I liked the male singer. Too many women singing maybe? A bit too high pitched for my ears, at least on the video.

I would watch but we like this kind of thing.
