Awwww.. How sweet is this??

DD just called me.. Seems my granddaughter had "show and tell" in preschool today.. DD suggested she take her beloved bear, but GD said no.. Then she suggested she take the big dancing Santa Mickey Mouse (wiggles around and dances to "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree") but again she said no..

Finally DD said, "Well - what ARE you going to take??"

GD disappeared for a few minutes and came back with a Christmas pillow that I had cross-stitched for her.. It's a big Mickey Mouse - dressed up as Santa - and trimmed with dark hunter green velvet..

She said THAT was what she was going to take to "show" and she was going to "tell" them, "My Grandma sewed every single one of these X's and they're all KISSES for me!!!"

Someone pass the tissues please... sob..choke..sniffle..

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! How sweet of her! And to realize how much work went into the pillow and appreciate it so much, that's really special. I love her description -- all those little x's are kisses for me! Being a cross-stitcher myself who likes to do gifts for family, that really pulled my heart-strings even more.
