I will be staying at FW over 4th of July week and wondering if we can put up our red, whit and blue lights. Do they allow lights on your RV? Any rules??

I don't think that there are any rules. We always put up awning lights no matter where we camp.

I'm sure you will find some "extreme" site decorations during holiday periods. Most folks will consider your site a little "underdressed" with just lights on your awning:teeth:

We're going this year over the 4th and we'll be an 'overdressed' campsite for sure!! We've been buying RWB decorations all year and dropping them in a big (huge!) box. We are also planning on being in the golf cart parade so we got enough to do up the cart and maybe a couple of bikes, too!

Maybe we'll see you there!!

We have these lights that were actually Christmas lights I picked up on clearance at the Disney Store many years ago - Mickey's pants, shoes, gloves and ears alternating on the string. Always an attention getter at FW.

What parade?? My kids would love to decorate the bikes. Will it be posted somewhere at FW

I have looked for anykind of mickey or even disney lights for years and have never been lucky enough to find any. That is so cool.

Every once in a while you can find an internet link to buy the lights that FtWildernesGuy described. I can't believe that Disney doesn't market these or something like them from the Trading Post at FW - I'd bet those things would FLY off the shelves.

Technically, those lights are not for outside use. They were sold as indoor Christmas lights. We have several packages of those, and did use them outside, But not very often, we changed them out for outdoor lights. And I'm not sure the wiring is good enought for outdoor use, and if it rains, there is no where for the water that gets inside the lights to go.
