I don't think it is weird at all! Most of the super hot guys are a grade under me. If you like him, then why would it be weird. It is perfectly fine in my book. If you think about it, how many of everyones parents are the same exact age. Mine are 5 years apart.

First of all, as everyone's been saying, 2 years is nothing. I've dated a guy 2 years older than me and a guy 2 years younger than me.
So it's really not that big of a deal.


To address the race issure, I live in an area where east indians are pretty predominant, i've grown up with the culture all around me. And punjabi guys pretty much just usually date punjabi girls and vice versa. But there are always those few expections.
Anyways, if you've known him for 9 years...I'm sure you probably know his family pretty well, so I'm sure they wouldn't mind to have you & him together.
If they don't know you well you should try to get to know them.
It's great that you're learning more about his culture too, that probably helps.

my dad is 14 years older than my mom, so two years is nothing. my boyfriend is a year and a half older than me. My friend (she's in college) dated a kid 3 years younger than her for about a year. Two years really isn't much.
