I found this really neat website on airline seats. It gives information on which seats offer the most legroom, which recline all the way, which seats are the nosiest! For each airline it shows the entire fleet of planes they have and then you click on your plane and up pops a chart of the airplane telling you which seats are the best in both coach and first class. It is called http://www.seatguru.com/home.shtml

I found it when I was booking my airline. It really came in handy for us because on the flight down, we are in a smaller jet plane and this website gives you the layout, which seats are good and bad and some other stuff. I loved it.

That's really cool!! Thanks!! :flower1:
your welcome! I thought it was really neat as well...of course I found it after I had booked my airfare for my trip!

I too used the seat guru website, and it helped me along the way greatly. Its simple and has many great tips and advise. helped me picking my seats in one easy to use website.

Great site! Thanks for the link!

This is bound to be something people will want to know in the future, so I'm going to stick it to the top of the board so it doesn't get lost.

Independence Air is not listed, but by running the mouse over the different airlines, I was able to find the Airbus 319 under another airline. I can't say for sure if the planes are the same, but I'm guessing they are.

Hope this helps someone else.

Not necessarily, airlines will configure the same aircraft very differently. For instance, Frontier's A319's have no first class, United's have 2 rows of first class, Northwest's have 4 rows of first class. Generally, the last row before the exit row doesn't recline or has a limited recline, and the last row in the plane may not recline either.

The last row before the exit row:
Frontier - 9
United - 10
Northwest -8.

A few points to remember no matter what the plane:
1. Last row before an exit row generally doesn't recline, or has limited recline.
2. Last row on the plane generally doesn't recline, or has limited recline.
3. Exit rows generally have more legroom, but many times are reserved for "elite-level" frequent flyers on airlines with advance seating assignments. (On Southwest, they're first-come, first-seated.)
4. Bulkhead rows (those with no seats in front of it) generally have no underseat storage, and may be slightly narrower since the tray table in the seat's arm, not on the back of the seat in front of you.

Okay now I'm worried, because I am booked on a Independance Air Flight and was assigned to row 9 Looking at this I maybe on an exit or in front of one. Does anyone know where row 9 is on these planes?

I have used this site for the last three trips to WDW. It is a great site to have when booking your seats. They have a large number of airlines to help with the selection of seats.

You might be in front of an exit row, but I don't think any of the airlines will assign you to an exit row, sight unseen. They have to be sure that you look physically able to open the exit door, etc. in case of an emergency. You could probably call your airline and find out.

The site doesnt seem to inidicate where the screens are. I hate it when I gret a seat right under the screen so I have to kill my neck to see the movie or when I am too far away from it, Any reccomendations?

Thanks for posting this. I had seen it in an insert in my newspaper but I forgot to clip it out before throwing the paper away.

I noticed you are from Shoreview, MN. Did you find a good price for airline tickets? We are going in August and I haven't found anything less than $236.00 per person. Thanks for the seat information!

Dedejf,
I think that is a good airfare from MN is it on NWA? Last summer we paid 229 on NWA...I went in January and paid $206 on NWA. I haven't been looking at prices yet for September, but I know last year they did not drop until July or so.

No southwest. Interesting. Jet blue is on there. You have plenty room up front. Just wait for the front wheel to not come down..
