yay!! day 3 is here! monday feb 23!!

We started our day off as usual with breakfast in the Hard Rock club level lounge and headed back to Universal to do the things we had not done yet.

First we went to Terminator 2, which had been there on my last trip when i was like 10...and i remembered T2 to be terrifying....but it wasn't bad...:3dglasses

Then we headed over to Jimmy Neutron....it was cute....definetly directed towards the younger crowd. although my sister loved the spongebob part... :lovestruc i thought the chicken dance part was cute and spongebob was waiting for his loyal fans at the end of the ride....we all took photos...(by the way...those are coming soon!!)

We then caught the Horror Makeup show, which was pretty funny. It is probably one of Universal's best kept secrets. I enjoyed the show....I would recommend it!

Next we ate at one of the walk-up windows in the carnival town next to the Jaws ride..:boat:..we got a few orders of chicken fingers to tie us over.....they were very yummy ::yes::

After we ate, I pushed the entire family over to the long awaited Ghostbusters show. and i must say i was highly anticipating this show because of the intense enthusiasm that some members of this board have for the show (cough* fly fly* cough) :teeth: but i must say i was a tad disappointed. i was expecting this awesome show....but it was just a bunch of cute guys dancing and singing to pop songs. i enjoyed it....but wouldn't make it a highlight of every trip.....more like one of those things you do once and savor the memory...

We then rand back to MIB and tried to boost our scores....this time dad was the highest in the car with 296,000...good job daddy! :sunny:

After our last little visit to Universal, we headed back to our favorite park....Islands of Adventure....We headed straight for the Hulk, as we did everytime we entered the park...gosh i love that ride!

We then did a repeat of Spiderman and afterwards Mom and Dad went to the Jurassic Park museum (BORING!!!) and us kids went to the Dueling Dragons yet again!! we met back up again.....planned to eat at Mythos but couldnt because it was closed...:( so we left the park and ate at NBA City...

It was alright....not the best but not the worst....the best part was when our waitress was describing a picture where a basketball player looked like he was flying and then it got quiet and she says "I wish I could fly..." it became one of the many jokes of the trip....

After eating we travelled back to Islands where Devan, Matthew and I rode Popeye....we got soaked....to the bone....but it was SO funny....matthew and I walked around Olive Oyl's boat, which is mainly a kids play area...but we still had fun!!!

Then we went on the flying unicorn....another kiddie type ride but fun nonetheless!!! after the unicorn we did dueling dragons yet again (one of each) and matthew and i decided to do a repeat of blue while mom dad and devan sat out.

afterwards matthew devan and i went on the hulk yet again while mom tried unsuccessfully to drag my dad away from the fudge shoppe

we left the park after that, where mom dad and devan went back to the hotel and matthew and i walked around citywalk.....we hung out in the universal store and explored other little shops. we headed back to the hotel at about 8pm.

once we returned, everyone showered and headed to the lounge for some snacks...then we headed downstairs where mom dad and devan had a little ping pong tournament and matthew and i invented a new way to play shuffleboard (since neither one of us knew how to play anyway);)

after fun and games we investigated emack and bolios.....if you really want coffee.....be prepared to pay a hefty price for it!! i work at barnes and noble cafe where we make starbucks coffee....and the prices of starbucks and E&B's was almost double ours!! very expensive for a cup of coffee....

but after we all headed back upstairs to get a good night's rest before our final day in the parks....

AWESOME VACATION - Day 4 - HRH CLUB coming soon!!

sounds like you had a great time

looking forward to hearing more

how was the weather while you were there?

lisa:smooth:

Get reports. We are staying at HRH Club level in 2 months - I know the breakfast, etc are served during certain times. Could you or mom email me or reply as to the time breakfast, happy hour, and dessert times are? thanks for help with our trip planning.

Okay, here's silverspark's Mom checking in...

I was relieved to find that I didn't get an icky tummy on Jimmy Neutron. Back when this was Hanna Barbera, it was my worst VR ride...really icky..this time, not so bad.

The Horror Make up Show was cute...I couldn't get over how "adult" some of the humor at US is...especially Beetlejuice. I'm no prude, but I can see where some parents might get offended. :o

I thought the Ghostbusters show was pretty cute...especially the guy in the orange outfit. Hubba, hubba...oh well, I'm old enough to be his...older sister.:smooth:

I enjoyed our lunch at NBA City. I had the ribs which were VERY yummy. As silverspark stated, our waitress was a little "out there", but the meal was good and we liked the atmosphere.

The chocolate fudge in the fudge shoppe was scrumptious. Wish I had a piece...or two...right now.

We enjoyed playing ping pong at the hotel and just kind of lounging around. When we do Disney, it's commando style, so this was a much welcomed change of pace.

I'm still having HRH club level withdrawal...where's my glass of wine????

Great report! But beware, when Fly Fly reads your part about the GB show, she will be disappointed....LOL.....:p

Sorry you were disappointed with the show :(

I will admit though, that I thought the GB Show was just "Okay" the first time I saw it....I didn't see it every trip, and definitely didn't see all the shows. Though I think what helps me now is that I'm getting to know the guys, so it's almost more like seeing "friends" perform instead of just random cute guys. :)

Glad the rest of the trip was great.-

thats true....im sure that if i go back i will want to see it again....and if i did have friends who performed in a show i would definetly be first in line to see them....

the best part about the show was the guys!! ::yes:: logan is quite a cutie...:teeth:

by the way - mainelyj

i know that they start serving bedtime snacks at 8:30....and every morning when we got to the lounge at about 8:30 - there was food waiting. my guess would be about 8am

you can always call the hotel to ask...

and definetly go with being a loews first member! we loved our little nightime gifts that they left us after pulling our beds back!!

thanks so much. I will follow up with the hotel. Looking forward to our trip. Hope it is as great as yours was. :wave2:

mainelyj, I believe they start serving breakfast at 7:00 a.m. - afternoon snacks/wine from 5:00 - 7:00 pmish and bedtime snacks at 8:30 p.m.

Have fun on your trip - I'm still longing for the lounge...

Teehee!!!!!!! That's GIO4!!!!! :teeth: He's one of my favorite GBs! He's definitely a cutie!!

Based on the pictures, it looks like you saw GICBH3....he's my cousin's favorite as well. :) He's really nice (actually all of them are!!).

But yeah, it took a few trips before I'd see the show more often...and it wasn't until about a year after the first time I saw the show, before I had to see all 4!! :) Not surprised your mom liked it though! I keep getting all the moms into it...have more a success rate with them than the teenage girls, sometimes! :p :p :p

hahaha....

hey i wanted to ask you fly fly - do the same guys do the all the shows for the day or do they switch out....

is it the same 5 for the day??

hmm i wonder...
