I want to first thank everyone here for all the information that I got from here while we were planning our trip. We just returned from our vacation and would love to answer any questions I might be able to help with.

We were there from 1/24/03--02-02/03. We stayed at the Yacht Club Concierge until the 28th (we were supposed to stay the entire time at the YC) we then moved to over to the Poly Concierge.

Some of the places we ate were 50's Prime Time, Nine Dragons, Princess B-fast, Cindy's, Garden Grill, Beaches and Cream, Rain Forest, Crystal Palace just to name a few.

We had the best time doing the Family Magic Tour in MK. We also had our 5 year old do the Pirate Cruise from the GF.

It was one of the best WDW trips we have ever had. We also have Dreams Unlimited Travel to thank for all their help in the planning.

The parks were so empty that Fast Pass was only opened on 2 of the days that we were there. Seems they don't even offer it when the lines have 5 or less minutes wait time. We also took over 6 hundred pictures with our digital camera, so if anybody is looking to see some pictures just let me know.

Once again, thanks for all your help and if there is anything I can answer about our trip, just let me know.:D :D

I have an upcoming trip at the end of March. We are booked for the GF, but I really want to stay at YC this time. We stayed at BC concierge last year and enjoyed it. When we called though, the CM seemed to deter my husband from YC because of the pool construction. Now I have a 2-year-old and a 9-mo-old. I would not be using SAB slide, just the sandy pool area. She said that the pool was closed off except for the sandy pool area and it got quite crowded. Did you happen to notice this to be the case? Thanks for any info you could offer. I'm considering splitting my time between the 2 resorts and need to decide soon.

We just loved the family magic tour. You have to meet your guide in that court yard right next to city hall. From there the hunt begins. First you have to find a scroll that contains the clues that you have to follow to help Peter Pan. After you go through all the clues (there were 8 if I remember correctly) Peter and Wendy are there to meet you and your family. The play a bit with the kids take a few photos then walk over to the Peter Pan ride and go on the ride with your kids. It was great! Lots of people came up to me to know how I got my kids to go on the ride with them.

As far as the Pirate Cruise, all I can tell you is that my 5 year old son loved it. He was not very detailed as far as what they did exactly but they did have lunch together on the way back from the Cruise. He came home with a bag full of stuff that he just loved. (basically kid junk) But he loved it and that is what I wanted from it. I have pictures of the bag of loot that he got as well as the kids right before they left and when the got back if you are interested. I also have some pics of us on the Family Magic Tour.

I would say that you would be happy with both tours. Just be prepared to be noticed because some of the clues have you skipping or jumping through the Magic Kingdom.

I hope this information helps you make your decision.

As far as the pool at the YC, the only part closed while we were there was the slide. The entire rest of the pool was opened. I cannot say for sure that they will not close the rest of it at a later timie, but from the Cast Members I spoke with while I was there the information they gave me was the only part they will close will be the slide. Hope that this helps make your deicsion easier. Enjoy!

What were your thoughts & opinions on both the Poly & YC Concierge??? We have the exact vacation booked for Sept. (our first time at either resorts w/ concierge) I'd love to hear the good, bad & great. :)

I have a question on the Family Magic Tour - Do you look for clues in a group or does each family search on their own and meet the group at the end?

You follow the clues as a group. You do the entire tour as a group. We loved it!
