Away Luggage

My sister wants this as her Christmas gift and they are pricey. A friend of mine already sent me her referral for $20 off but does anyone know of any other discounts or promos for Away luggage?

Just make sure your sister is aware that the airlines are getting VERY serious about making sure there are no batteries in the checked luggage compartment. She will need to be sure to eject the battery and take it with her in the cabin if she is checking the bag.

(I personally don't like clamshell design bags like the Away bags - I find them harder to work with for short stays in hotel rooms when you just want to leave everything in your bag on a luggage stand. But to each their own.)

Really? We flew last month with a bunch of batteries (we have mophies for everything now) in our checked bag and had no problems. She wants the new nylon expandable one that doesn't have the battery so we're good there.

They can cause fires. When they are in the cabin with you, the crew can put the fire out. But if they are checked in the cargo compartment, then the fire just grows because the fire suppression systems there are not very effective against battery fires.
