Awareness bracelets.

I wear a yellow livestrong bracelet because I'm a survivor.

I did wear a purple one for Lupus Research (my daughter has Lupus) but I took it off one day and my grandson took it. He wears several in different colors.

I have a black and white kind of striped one that represents carcinoid cancer. This is a very rare slow growing cancer that is very difficult to diagnose. I am pleased that people often ask me about it since it is uncommon looking and i get to enlighten them about the disease. I know for sure that the money I paid for the 10 I bought are going to carcinoid research.

I also occasionally wear one for diabetes.

I wear my Go Cards rally bracelet...it was a promotion they did last year before the playoffs with Hardees. All proceeds went to the Cardinals Care Charity. I wear it proudly.

Between my DH and me, we probably have 20. He wears his everyday, and I never wear mine. I only buy the bracelets that have 100% of the proceeds going to charity. My latest bracelet I bought at the U2 concert this weekend. It is white and supports the ONE campaign, the campaign to make poverty history. BTW, it is the only bracelet we own that is "MADE IN THE USA".

I wear a yellow "Livestrong" bracelet or a camouflage bracelet that was being sold by our American Legion to Support the Troops or a Purple one from Relay for Life that says Hope (for a cure) or a Lavendar one from Avon for Domestic Violence

This is my first post but I have been lurking for awhile. I wear the yellow livestorng, a blue one for the Make a Wish Foundation, and a black one to support Melanoma Cancer Awareness. My daughter passed away 5 years ago after a 3 year battle with Melanoma Cancer.

DDs have the Livestrong ones (from Build a Bear), as well as Autism and Make a Wish. I only bought them b/c the money is put to good use.

I am a consultant w/ a scrapbook company and they just sent me one that is a reminder about one of their incentive programs. I think it's tacky as heck, quite frankly. The others at least support a real CAUSE.

I have a bunch from work: a red diabetes one, a green organ donor one, a pink breast cancer one, and a purple one for domestic violence.

Also have a white "ONE" bracelet for poverty, a gold and grey "Disneyland 50th Anniversary" one, and a light blue one that says "Santo Subito" in memory of Pope John Paul II.

I have every one but the yellow one!

Does anyone know where I can get a Livestrong band besides the internet? Do certain stores carry them?

I am glad to see many people are wearing these bracelets as a personal statement for themselves as opposed to for fashion's sake alone. We've had a few floating around here... always liked the Livestrong ones. I had purchased a lime green one (I think it said Patience on it... which is a good reminder for me actually!) -- that I wore last time at WDW. But the only one I've worn regularly is one from my church that they gave out. It says, "Come and Become" -- a theme that goes along with some of our recent sermons.

Dont wear any and probably would not. Just not my thing...I show my support in other ways.

I have a red one for MS (my cousin has it). I don't wear it all the time, as it's too big. I haven't read this entire thread, but my .02... I can't stand seeing them everwhere. I hate they you can buy them in any color and half the time, they don't mean anything. I mean, I love Disney, but what is the point of having one with Mickey's all over it? :confused3

Myself and my kids all wear them all different ones I have a livestrong my oldest DD has a breast cancer pink one and my middle daughtere has an MS one and my son has a childrens lukemia one or something of that nature. nI also just got a black one from my FIL to support the firefighters lost in the 9/11 accidents.

If you have a Nike outlet near you they sell tehm in the store for a buck.

I wear an orange "Inspire by Example" band that supports volunteerism in your community.

I wear the Lance Armstrong yellow one because I know many folks affected by cancer, including my in-laws who both died from it and I wear a red diabetes one for the same reasons.

I have a Livestrong bracelet, and I also have a blue bracelet that says COMMITMENT that I got at Weight Watchers! I love my bracelets, and wear them all the time!
