I thought that the deadline for banking 1/2 my points was February 1st and since I had missed it, that I'd be forced to book a trip between now and June 1 (which, coincidentally, includes my birthday) to use up the remaining points. But I called today, and I could bank all the points I had left.

I've gotta do better at screwing up banking deadlines next time.

Were you past your deadline and they still let you bank? Or had you misfigured the deadline?

no you need to use so many points - that you are in a borrowing mode - then you have to GO!!!!

we are going in March - with points I borrowed for my brother's trip last July that got cancelled....

Now if that was happening we would not be going until May...

I guess I just had the banking deadline wrong. We have a 250 point contract, and had 102 points left for this year, use year June 1...I thought the deadline was Feb 1st. Of course, I've got the guidebook about two feet from me, and I COULD actually look it up. But I was sure it was Feb 1st, so once I missed it (Mom had health problems and surgery around that date), I thought I had an unplanned vacation looming. I really should stick those dates somewhere on my desk for the future, so I don't almost miss another deadline...yeah, that's right...I'll do that...maybe.

How funny - I expected to hear you missed your banking deadline. Just think - you're saving up for a bigger, better next trip!

BTW - spiceycat - got a new photo on your icon? Is that Spicey? I've been caught in the web of the debate board for the past week and missed a lot that's gone on here at DVC!

yes that is Spicey!!! He will be 18 year old this May - while we are there!!!

I noticed your new icon, too. Just had to say how cute Spicey is. We have a feline that is identical except she is 12 years old.
