We went to our dinner reservation at the Blue Bayou yesterday, and they don't have the wedge salad anymore! It's now just a plate of various stringy pieces of lettuce, sausage, blue cheese, tomatoes, onions and red peppers! I miss the wedge! The waitress said there's a new chef who changed the salad to this one, and they decided to take away the avocado because it doesn't stay fresh long enough? Boo!

But on the plus side, my wife is a vegetarian that is not fond of mushrooms. So we asked the waitress if there was any other possibilities and they did let us order a pasta with marinara dish which was yummy. Pricey, but yummy!

Boo! I loved that salad! I even started making it at home. And no avo? That's what made that salad so good!

Well that really stinks! I really liked that salad and am a big fan of the blue cheese and avacado...oh well. At least DH will be happy. He doesn't think that wedge salads are salads since you have to cut them up yourself. :lmao:

This is so funny, I just got back and was thrilled they changed the salad!! I don't eat iceberg and the old salad just seemed so cheap. I think the new salad is much better with less iceberg and tasted good!!

In fact it was the only thing good about my dinner the other day at BB, they burnt my mushrooms and the whole dish tasted awful, mind you in the past I really liked this dish.

Sorry you didn't get a good salad though, ours were fresh and really tasty!

New chef.

Oh boy. From my experience, that never turns out to mean a good thing.

Hmm, wonder what that will do for the rest of the menu. :confused3 I laughed when I heard that salad was one big chunk of lettuce, so not sorry to see that go. However, I am a big fan of avocados but hate blue cheese so the new one doesn't sound that great either.

Bummer. I LOVE wedge salad. I craved it so much after we got home that I had to order it when dh and I went to McCormick and Schmicks (which was similar but not the same).
