Simulator rides aren't my thing (motion sickness). Got my FP for Na'vi and would like to RD the Safari. How does one maneuver through the mass of humanity headed for FOP? I thought about arriving 15 min before opening so the throng would already be lined up for Pandora, but don't know if that would work. Seems like a lot of walking to go around the park the other way. So, hit me with a few suggestions?

Your plan might be okay. What time is your FP+ for Na'vi? I would probably get there right at 9:00 or a few minutes after just to let the crowds get on through the gates. There will be almost as many there at 15 min before just because there are so many people that have no idea you need to be there an hour early and will think 15 min is plenty of time.

Na'vi FP is at 10:30, so thought we'd RD the safari and Everest, hit Dino land, and head back to Pandora for Na'Vi and lunch. I think the other members of my party would be more than ok with an arrival right at/after park opening. They're not as early-birdy as I am!

I had the same situation and concerns when we were there in late October. But it was no problem going to Safari first. We arrived at entrance at about 8:30 and were maybe 10-15 people back from tapstiles. People were let into the park at about 8:35-8:40 and we just walked towards Safari by going left at the Tree like you normally would. There were still some runners from behind us but most of the throng was ahead of us. There is enough capacity in Pandora to hold the line and keep it off of the main path to Safari. We were held at a rope just prior to crossing the bridge just past the Starbucks until 9 and then let in. Short walk to Safari and off by 9:30. The rest of the park is pretty empty until after 10AM, so heading to Everest next, you should still be fine. You'll be fine if you arrive 15 minutes before park opening.

We did what you're planning in October. We followed the path on the left past the tree and stayed on the right side of it. People going to Pandora will veer to the left after the tree. We didn't get caught up in the madness, but saw some people doing some crazy things to get ahead of others.
