Avoid MK on MNSSHP days?

As a general rule of thumb, is it wise to avoid MK on MNSSHP days? Or is that one of the better days to go?
We are NOT going to the party, just revising our schedule and trying to figure out the best strategy for MK. We have young kids who are early risers, so we'll get a lot done in the earlier hours of the day and in turn we don't expect to spend much time at the parks in the evenings.

Depends. On my first trip to WDW we purposely went on a party day and enjoyed light crowds. My kids were little so we did dinner outside the parks and had a reasonable bedtime. It was great. As a mom of teens. We are going to the MNSSHP this year but if we weren’t going, we would have gone to MK for the low crowds in the morning and then hopped to Epcot for evening EMH. Unless you have small kids though, I would skip MK on a party night unless you have park hopper tickets.

Our plan is to go to MK on a party day and have an early dinner around 5pm at either 1900 Park or Ohana. Haven't been able to get that Ohana reservation yet so I have 1900 as my place holder just in case.
