Avoid AK today

here now. Tons and tons of school groups. They do seem well behaved but they are all over the place

I think it’s field trip season everywhere. Our local children’s museum is mobbed every day.

We were in Disney this week last year and saw some field trip groups at Epcot. I thought how cool it must be to take a field trip to Epcot!

My son is at his first day at Disney. He's at AK and just texted me: Man, it's crowded. And this was supposed to be a "good" day to do AK based on the predictors. Guess they don't often get it right.

This is precisely why crowd calendars are obsolete now. Too many variables to predict crowds with any accuracy.

TP has today at a 7 which is above average. Even if they were off a point, I don't know if I would consider a "7" a good day. Especially when every other park is lower.

But ya, relying solely on crowd calendars is like impossible. They are almost never 100% accurate. I feel like AK will be abnormally crowded until Star Wars is done. Even with TS.

Man, everyone should just leave the park when disboard users are present. That would be great.

My high school (back in the day) had physics field trips to theme parks, so I definitely see it as a thing for band trips, graduating classes, physics classes etc for locals

Yup. My friend will be there as a chaperone for her 10yo son's field trip that day.

Yup. I remember Physics Day field trips to the local amusement park. It was fun.

It is very busy. I just figure it's because EMH were added to nearly every day except for today. I told my wife last night that we should switch things up once I noticed that but we decided to just make the best of it.

My son just texted that they were leaving as wait times in all the other parks seem much lower. He's really not having a great start to his trip starting with the WAY delayed flight last night!

The good thing about school groups is that they leave early. The park will be wide open by late afternoon/evening.

they (local schools here in Orange County) stay until 5 or 5:30. Our Safety Patrol is going to Universal IOA on Tuesday and are not scheduled to return until 6:30. The 5th grade trip to AK was the same.

Those darn kids! Just kidding, I remember going with the high school band. It was awesome.
