Avis???

Always rented from AVIS and never had a problem , I will tell you however, they feel very strong about you buying the extra insurance ( don't let them get you on that if you have collision in your own car at home ) and also one other thing to do is check the car for any damages before you get out of the parking lot, other than that, no problems at all. I will be renting from dollar this time unless AVIS comes up with a special or lowers the prices, let's see what's going to happen.

We've rented from Avis exclusively since 1993 after a horrible experience at Alamo, and a long wait at National (I know get the ea!), but I've never waited at Avis, they've never been pushy about insurance with me, and they're very convenient. This Feb, they even gave us a "cheap" upgrade, combined with K163324, you can't go wrong!

90% of my car rentals at MCO have been with Avis. Never a problem. Only time the wait at counter was long was one Saturday in April. We waited about an hour due to the lack of available returned cars. Avis made up for it by giving a free day off the rental price without my asking or complaining.

Rented our full size, four door Lumina from Avis in April at a great rate $126.99 for eight days (plus taxes and full tank of gas). Reserved it at least four months before our trip. Got "Wizard" card so that I did not have to present anything at check-in. In fact, they also have Avis "Preferred" for free which allows you to go right to the Avis Kiosk to pick up your car. At any rate, there was little wait, no pressure to buy any insurance, and as soon as I got back to the return area and shut my door, I was handed my receipt and was outta there. Very uneventful experience. The only thing negative I can remember is that the Avis counter was the last one in a very, very long walk past all the other companies' counters on the same row at MCO.

I agree with the other posts. I have free memberships with both National and Avis and have rented from both and have preferred Avis. Can still bypass the main counter and go directly to the garage. The last time I rented, the rate that I ended up with was cheaper than National and I used all of the special codes that I could find. One other thing, the last time I used National Emerald Aisle was the time when our flight was delayed by several hours. Instead of arriving at 6pm, we didn't arrive until about 10pm. I hightailed it to the rental cars while my husband picked up our luggage. Glad I did because there were only two cars left in the EA area, one was a compact sedan (which I wanted) and the other one was a VW bug (which I didn't want). There was nobody from National in the garage to assist. The other family that came later just looked at the bug and said that it would never work for them (too small), and had to end up going back to the main counter.
