Avis/Priceline question

I just won a car rental for the week of March 5-12 and got Avis.

I am an Avis preferred member. Is there a way to pick my rental up at the Avis preferred lot across the street instead of waiting in line inside the terminal?

I'm seriously doubting they will do this, but why not call Avis and ask them to put your wizzard number on the reservation?

Generally no. You can call Avis and ask them to put it on the reservation but generally the will not and you have to do the wait in line deal.

OK thanks for the answers guys. I was just curious and I'll live waiting in line if thats what I have to do. With the money I saved it's worth it.

Typically Priceline and Hotwire blind bids are ineligible for all corporate/rental programs, so it is VERY unlikely you will be able to use the preferred service. When you complete a Priceline blind bid it even states that in the T&C.

Avis said no Priceline or discount brokers bookings can be picked up at Avis preffered. I will need to go to the terminal and stand in line with the my reservation and credit card.

I can live with that for the money I saved.
