Avis Premium Cars at MCO

Just booked a great rate for a one day premium car at MCO for September 20. It states Buick Lucerne or similar. I am hoping for similar and not the Buick. Any experience with the premium cars? What kind of car did you get? Any other models out there? Did you get to pick the car?

Avis assigns the cars, you do not pick. As to what models, give Avis a call, they have a list.

Anybody with recent experience with the cars in this category from Avis?

Avis' website still shows the Ford Crown Victoria, but since that car has been discontinued for a year or so I'd imagine its being phased out...if not gone already. As suggested above, I tried calling the branch but can't find any number other than the 1-888 where the agent says 'Crown Vic or similar'.

There was this odd special a few weeks ago where this was the cheapest car out there (yes, cheaper than subcompacts) so I have an Avis premium car reserved for my upcoming trip. Hoping that Alamo comes through with a good deal (like it usually does, 21 or so days out from my trip), but I'll live with this if rates stay high in October.

I'm a little concerned about trunk space in those other models. According to the Avis website, a premium car is advertised as holding 2 large bags and 3 small ones. For comparison, the full size is advertised as holding 2 large and 2 small (Chevy Impala shown).

I had an Impala last year from Alamo, so I know it has a huge trunk. We just-fit in that last year on the trip from MCO, having to put stuff in the front passenger seat and have the wife sit in back between kid 1 in a booster and kid 2 in a car seat. (Aside from bags, we have a oddly-dimensioned double stroller that takes up a lot of space)

So I guess the question is are there actually any trunks out there with more space than an Impala?
