Avis Preferred

If you are planning to rent from Avis, definitely sign up for their Preferred membership. It doesn't cost anything. I just rented twice from them last week and they upgraded me from a compact car to a full sized car the first time and from a compact car to a convertible car the second time. The counter clerk even commented to me that it pays to be "Preferred."

Upgrades are great, but cutting out waiting in line is even better!!
