From my understanding of reading these boards is that Avis has relocated and I would like to know if it has effected the shuttle, I am not sure if they have ther own or were relying on the Radison Shuttle
We used Avis in August three weeks after they moved into their new office, we didn't have any problems with them. We also used their shuttle after our cruise to go back to their office.
They need a BIGGER shuttle. No doubt. I just got back from the 10/11 Magic and they were running 1 bus to the Magic. I got on the bus and left the family and bags for the next bus. I asked the person at the checkin counter about the busses and she said they had 2 busses -- one to the Magic and one to the Carnival ship. One bus is hardly enough. My DH said the place was mobbed at port waiting to get on. It took over 25 minutes for the bus to leave me at the cars and get back with DH and luggage.
I'll be looking for a better option next time. I wonder why Avis doesn't have one of those huge buses. I would guess that the huge majority of their business comes from the cruise ships.
Be glad you were not on Budget as they only have a van, At least Avis has a bus. But it is hectic on port days. We did not drag all our stuff in and out of the avis shuttle. We did the drop and return the rental car thing and then only one person had to ride the shuttle bus.
We used budget there and avis return. Avis will match budget rates.
