We have a MiniVan booked from PC to MCO. I have read some reports of people claiming when they got to Avis there were not any Minivans available to rent. Has anyone had any negative experience with renting from this location?

We have not rented with Avis, but have had that issue with Budget. I get this awesome code/discount, show up there and they tell me, there is just no way they can give me a car at that price. Well, why was I able to reserve it in the first place? I was quite firm, I had a reservation and that needed to provide me with a car that fit my family and my luggage. It wasn't what I reserved, but it did fit us. Same thing happened at MCO. Tried to give me this really nice BMW SUV-upgrade from what I reserved, problem is, it wouldn't fit my luggage. We kept pressing, got what we needed. This year's rental should be interesting again, as we have a mini van reserved, through Budget, at a really good price.

We rent from Avis at PC and have had good luck with them, but we only need space for 3 (full size car). I remember seeing a family there once struggling to get all of their bags in, kind of complaining about the size of the vehicle. I don't know/didn't overhear what they reserved to know if they got something different than what they reserved.

We didn't have a great experience with Avis at PC, but in a pinch would probably rent from them again. We waited at least 30 minutes for a shuttle from the port while watching shuttles from several other rental car offices arrive and depart multiple times. In the office they had one person handling all of the transactions. (There were two people at the desk, but the other person was brand new and hadn't completed enough training to handle rentals yet). I had an Avis Preferred card with me (sign up for their program before your cruise - it's free) so they handled our rental first and gave us an upgraded sized vehicle because it was all they had, handed us the paperwork (that I didn't sign or even check - mistake!) and we were off. When returning at the airport, we realized it was NOT a free upgrade and they had charged us an extra $200 for the rental period of three days. It took a lot of discussion with the MCO returns agent to have the charge removed, but they eventually did it. So, if we do ever rent from them again I'd make sure I had a printout of our quote, double and triple checked price before leaving, had a Preferred card, and packed our patience.
