Avery's trip to the dentist

Well, Avery had her first trip to the Dentist yesterday. All of the hygentists were really fawning over her. Everyone was really nice.

She was a little scared and not sure what was going on. She liked riding on the chair. She put up a little fight letting us look at her teeth. And started to cry when the Dr. turned the light on to her mouth. After he was done checking her teeth (it was really quick) I picked her up and she gave him the dirtyist look! It was kind of funny!

Her teeth are fine. He said that there was no softening to indicate decay or cavities. He gave me a list of things not to do which I do not do anyway.

Then Avery got to pick a toy and received a new toothbrush so she was happy again!

Now I have piece of mind and feel a lot better!

I'm glad it went relatively well, Jenn Lynn.

When I took Drew to the dentist for the first time, they ended up dismissing us and never looking in his mouth, as he wouldn't allow them to.

Which is what prompted us to go to a pediatric dentist. Its still not a great experience for him, but so much better than the first dentist.

Glad to hear it went fairly well. Next time will be a lot less scary for her.
