ok so I am trying to budget here...what is the average you spend at DL for a week (we will be there 8 days but only 5 of them at DL...one at Sea World, one at Universal and one at Magic MTN)...so I want to make sure I budget out for the 5 days we will be at DL...there will be 5 of us (kids ages...12,6 and 14 mos) and we have Goofy's Kitchen/Ariels Grotto and Minnie and Friends reserved, other than these big brekfast/lunches what's the average you spend on food/drinks? The kids will have their own Disney Dollars and soem Disney gift cards to spend for their own purchases so that is pretty much taken care of...and can you spend gift cards at the character breakfast/lunches? thanks in advance!

I would probably budget $10 (meal and drink) per meal per adult per day. And $6 per meal for your 12 year old and 6 year old if they will be eating kids meals. Your 14 month old can just eat off your plate.

To save some cash you may want to bring in bottles of water that you can have with your meals. Drinks are $2.79 each I think, that would save you around $6 per meal for the two adults.

Will you be having any snacks in the park? They can be steep too. Ice creams are around $3 each I think. Churro's $2.75 each I think. Not sure about popcorn and soft pretzels.

we will have water and kids drinks with us, but we usually get a big drink and split it between all of us....or 2 drink and 2 of us share...we will probably have a few snacks but I'm guessing not alot...we will have fruit snacks and stuff for them to snack on in our backpack..thanks for the input....:thumbsup2

P.S. I was figuring about $100 a day for meals, do you think that is reaonable (not including the character meals)...

Hi, we usually spend about $100-$120 per day on food/drinks per day. Dh can pack it in though!!! We do bring water into the park but we always seem to order 4 cokes for each meal. We are huge snackers too and so that is all figured into the budget. Basically we eat our way around the lands!!!

yeah I was figuring in about $100 plus my Ds (6) is not a big eater so he may just eat off of what me and DH get as well as the 14 month old...thanks! one month from today we leave    :dance3:

That is very reasonable, I was about to say just that myself. If you eat outside the park it can be a bit cheaper. I believe at I hop across the street Children under a certain age eats free anyway.

If you are staying in a hotel that offers continental breakfasts then take advantage of that. Bring your own drinks into the park, and even some small granola bars or something small for snacks. It saves money.

We always budget $100 per day...most of the time we don't even use that much. We always eat breakfast in our hotel and pack a lunch and snacks into the park. So, we really only eat out one meal and seldomly eat that meal in the park. We usually come home with extra money, which is nice!

We average about $100-120 a day for 4 of us. We eat a couple meals and some snacks/drinks thru the day.
