:teacher:Does anyone know approximately how many miles a person walks on average each day at UO? Just curious! Thanks!

That's a great question. I have a Jawbone Up tracker this year and can't wait to see how many steps I take over the two days at US & IOA. Will report back here if no-one else hasn't before my trip. Four weeks and counting!

I averaged 12 miles a day, not including any time my phone spent in lockers (walking onto most rides requiring lockers).

We average about 5 on the low end to above 12 if we go back and forth from the resort.

Please check back and let us know what you come up with! It seems average would be around 9 miles based on other replies! I had friends that walked WDW and they averaged about 8-9 miles a day with kids.

If you park hop it'll be more than a MK day. If stick to one park it'll be less as you'll probably do a circuit around the park.

WOW! I didn't realise it would be that much. Although its maybe just as well with the amount of calories we will consume over the period of the holiday! No, I am not trying to be a 'Debbie Downer' about calories on holiday cause I believe any meal that has either fruit or veggies on the plate TOTALLY wipes out the bad calories that are hidden in the delicious Butterbeer, burgers, etc., etc., etc., :rotfl2:

I don't know how many miles, but we averaged about 20-22k steps per day when we were there last. And we're annual pass holders, so there's no extra steps wandering around aimlessly- we get in, get to what we want, and get out very efficiently. :) One tip I always recommend to people is to vary the height of your shoes each day. If you wear flip flops or something very flat one day, try to wear something with a bit of a wedge the next day, or even in the same day try to alternate if you take breaks where you leave the park. This can really help with sore feet and shin splints, which I get.

This will be our first trip there so I can only comment on WDW. I don't know how many miles it is but I do know every single trip I come back weighing the same, if not a tad less even after eating like a pig all week!
