How much would you say to budget each day in a park for 2 of us ages 22 & 21?

Just working money out so any help would be super good.

Thanks !

Hard to say - we spend next to nothing but...

Soda/bottled water $3
Counter service lunch $10 each
Sit down meal with tip $20-40 each
Beer $6
Cocktail $6-10
Ice cream $4
Small snack $3-6

We take water, eat offsite, so maybe $5/day for both of us.

Allears.net will give you menus for everywhere, from restaurants to snack carts, on WDW property. Universal, Sea World etc seem to be around 10% cheaper.

Don't forget to budget for sovenier / Micky merchandise money too :)

When I go out there will friends, all mid 20s we take the the equivalent of $100 a day to cover everything and always have money left over by the end

We budget $100 a day for the 2 of us, sometimes we spend the full amount most days we don't.

It depends whether you are talking essentials, food, or souvenirs, all of those things. Essentials is water, you can take a packed lunch and eat dinner off site. Food depends where you eat. Souvenirs you can spend a few $s on a keepsake or go mad! My first trip when I was young (those were the days!) me and DH budgeted $20 a day for the two of us and managed fine. That was 20 plus years ago though. This year I budgeted $200 a day for me and DD, but we did a lot of shopping and ate at a Disney table service restaurant daily.

Kath has given you good guide lines. If you are counting the pennies then the best way to save money is to eat your main meal off site and get breakfast in your room. Squeezing a couple of boxes of cereal into your suitcase could genuinely save you a small fortune. Also realise that meals ( especially off site) are huge. You can easily share and still be stuffed. The size of the off site meals in general puts me off actually. Visualise a mound of fries as big as your head ;)

Also take water into the park with you, or be prepared to drink from the water fountains. I can get through 6 bottles a day in the parks. That adds up if you're buying it. The food stands will all you give you iced water for free of you can be bothered to manage it that way.

I remember planning my first trip I'm excited for you. :) :) :)

A lot depends on what you want to do and what time of year it is. For example in July we drink a lot of water but in December we we may only have one bottle between 3 outside of meals.

Also at CS meals we will get one meal with fries and then a second item on its own and share the fries as we don't eat it all other wise. It takes on average $2 off the meal price to do this and it's altos for fries that will just go in the trash.

I will buy some bottled water in the parks but also get free cups of ice water from anywhere that sells fountain drinks. We are a bag free family :thumbsup2

If your on ddp you ll spend next to nothing. Also depends if you like a formal meal or not. In addition as a few people mentioned how hot it is

You can buy bottled water and take it into the parks.

We're a group of 5, on DDP, and we're taking about $200 per day for all of us - we'll not spend the vast majority of that. Breakfast we'll have at our villa, lunch is included as is dinner and a snack (which will likely be icecream) - so our only real expense per day will be tips for table service meals (about $30ish per day) - the rest is spending money!

But, we're not massive spenders.... the kids will have keepsakes, like Mickey Ears, mugs, tshirts which will all likely be bought towards the end of our stay. Usually, our biggest expense by far are ride photos... so we've bought Memory Maker to cut that cost out!
