How big is the avengers marathon? I've seen check-ins for other marathons but not this one? Is it smaller? How does it affect crowds? Arriving November 16, so really curious....thanks:)

Last year it was pretty crowded that weekend. It's also the first weekend of Holiday decorations and Season of the Force starts on the 16th. We're expecting it to be quite crowded.

It is a half marathon. This year will be a little different because they added a 10K to the original 5K and half marathon of the previous year. Last year there were 10,466 finishers. That does not include people who started but did not finish and people who had bibs but did not start.

You will notice more crowds and there will be several road closures for the weekend that you should be aware of. Also it may be loud in the Downtown Disney area in the morning.

If you are arriving the 16th, most (not all) marathoners will be gone. We head home the 15th. BUT, I know quite a few who are staying around for the opening of the Season of the FOrce.

I know with Season of the Force it will add another layer to the crowd. Hopefully not too crazy, but I know this year has been "different " :)

The 5K goes off at 530am on Friday, the 10K is 530 am on Sat, Kids Races at 9 on Sat, and the Half is at 530a on Sunday. Course should be cleared by 930a on Sunday.

I went last year I did the 5k it was so much fun. I am not sure what is norm but I did not really notice a lot of crowds. Others say it was crowded but I didn't think so. Maybe this year in dec will be about the same in crowds? LOL
don't worry to much about it.

Not too worried, just trying to mentally prepare. Had read so much more about other events, and this one didn't seem to have as much info...thank you to all that replied :)

It has to be later than 9:30. First of all, it takes longer than 15 minutes for all the corrals to clear. And second, I know several people who had finish times right at 4 hours for multiple DLR races, and they weren't starting from the A corral. Maybe most streets would be open by 9:30, but the end part of the course that's on property has to still be open at 9:30.

I agree, but the last mile or so in the parks is behind CA and then the finish is in the DL Hotel Parking lot. The Event Guide suggests that spectators can see runners finish until 10AM. -- Suzanne

You're right, last finishers are closer to 10am (as late as 10:10 at the DL Half.) I meant that the local roads are usually cleared by 930a. And even that, Disneyland Drive is blocked for the cross over.
