Avengers Half Marathon Weekend this week--Effect on Crowds??

We're planning a trip to Disneyland this weekend and I just noticed that this weekend (Nov. 13-16) is also Disney's "Avengers Half Marathon Weekend" at the Disneyland Resort. Can anyone with experience with this event tell us what kind of impact it will have on crowds at Disneyland and California Adventure?

There is a noticeable increase in crowds during the Marathon weekend (Thu to Sun). I went in 2014 on Sat and Sun and the parks felt really busy. If you can avoid driving to the parks, I highly recommend doing that because it took us over 30 minutes to get into the parking structure on Sunday morning. Given the overall increase in crowds from the 60th anniversary celebration, I would expect higher crowds this year during that weekend (also, it's the kick-off to the holiday season).

We'll be there for the races this weekend and we're expecting the parks to be pretty crowded. As Figment said, last year it was definitely busy this weekend and with the extra boost from the anniversary that this whole year has had so far, we're prepared for LOTS of people. The first weekend of Christmas decorations, treats and parades as well as Star Wars Season of the Force starting on Monday will only make it worse.

Also last year's event was only 2 races. This year they've added a 10K, which bumps the 5K to Friday and a challenge medal for people who run Saturday and Sunday. That plus the expo opening on Thursday will make it more crowded. Nov 13th is also the official start of the holidays. Then on Monday, as PP said, Season of the Force starts. And as PP also said, this year has just been more crowded overall with the 60th being popular.
