Availabilty for DVC vs. FL. Residents

I am trying to stay at BWV or BCV in May. A DVC member checked availability for me and told me it was not available. When I checked online on the FL resident discount WDW website, they both came up available. Granted it will cost alot more to go through disney but my question is are they holding these rooms for the public or is the DVC member mistaken?? If they are holding these rooms, will they eventually release them for DVC availability?


I really want to stay on the Boardwalk.

It is two different inventories. Room space available through Disney is not the same room space available through DVC. So no what Disney is renting will not become available as DVC.
