Availability

We are considering a trip the first of December. We had reservations made and had to cancel them due to a promotion for myself at my job. However, we are possibly going to be able to take a trip a little later than we had planned. Has anyone attempted to reserve studios at VWL, BCV, or BWV lately for December 3rd through the 8th? If so, what is the availability like? It is too late for us to get a studio at that time?
Thanks for any responses you can offer. The idea of a possible Disney trip has me excited!

You will probably have to go on a waitlist. I couldn't get at studio at OKW for Dec 5 to 14 when I tried to change from a one bedroom last week. (I kept the one bedroom )

Being ever the optimist, I will disagree and say that unless you find and rent a confirmed ressie, you will most likely be disappointed.

If you waitlist, I think the only chance you will have will be SSR and you should book it day-to-day.

I say this not because waitlists don't work, but because this is one of, if not the most popular times for DVC travel, and the waitlists have been running since 7 months out, so you will be far, far, far down the list.

Now, I am hoping that I'm wrong, and hope to read from you that a waitlist comes in for you soon!

Thanks for both your responses. Actually, it seems our dates are fairly flexible. We could go any time between mid to late October and Christmas. Anyone know if any time in between there would possibly still be available at the DVC's? Again, any responses and assistance are greatly appreciated.

Actually busy time now starts about October for DVC (Food & Wine followed by Thanksgiving, followed by December,etc) If there is a pause between end of F&W and Thanksgiving Week, I would call that your best chance.

I've been waitlisted for Dec.3-8 for a 2 bedroom at BCV since 9 months out(and BWV at 7 months out) with no luck, so I hope you'll have better luck with a studio

We are attempting to be more flexible about our dates. Anyone know of any hope between October 15th and December 16th for a studio? Could sure use some ideas of possible availability on dates. Anyone have any to share?

You really need to call MS and ask.

We had a LOT of availability for mid-November when we made ressies about six weeks ago, but you could change dates one day and find nothing. As mentioned, the period between F&W and Thanksgiving is your best bet.

Unfortunately, I am not yet a member. I plan to rent points for the trip if possible. I was under the impression that the member must call to check availability. Is it possible for me to do this? It would save a lot of trouble if I could check availability myself, and then just tell the member the dates that I know to be available.

sorry Non-members are not suppose to call but if you look at the rent/trans board they may have some dates firmed up already .

You might even find a Renter to do some leg work for you as well.
