Availability Questions

I am heading to WDW and am trying to make some ADR's. Why is it, if I put a party of 1 there is nothing, but if I put a party of 2, suddenly all of this availability? Should it matter if it's 1 or 2 people? I'm trying to make an ADR @ Hoop for a 5pm show, category 2. For 1 person, no availability, for 2 people it is available. Why?

When I dine solo, I always make my reservations for two. As you have noticed, at many locations, it makes a difference in what comes up. Then when I show up, I invariably say "Turns out it's just me today". No excuses about anyone else being sick or running late.

Admittedly, that's not practical for Hoop de Doo, where you have to pay for each person on the reservation. I would try reserving by phone instead of online, and if the CSR isn't able to help, ask for a supervisor and see what they can do for you.

I have only dined solo once at CRT since the prepay system went into effect there. In that case, I paid for two diners, then called back a few days before to cancel one of the guests with no problem.
