Availability on different offers on the DLP website

Hi everyone!!

Just about the book my trip to DLP for November and when I put in the dates etc the price had gone up in a few days by about £500!!! I felt sick.
The offer was the magical winter offer the same that I had priced up before but I was given a family room rather than a standard which is why the price had gone up.

To me this implied that they didn't have any standard rooms available that day so moved the day on by one and it came down again!!

However, if I use the one day/one night free then the standard room is available on the day I want but works out more expensive than the magical winter offer did.

Can any one help/advise on what to do with this? I want to be there on the specific date but feel a little annoyed that I can't do this through the website.

Also has anyone ever had cashback through top cash back site for hotel packages booked through DLP website as it's currently showing at 5.5%.

I was going to suggest ringing as I always have been quoted cheaper over the phone then online but then you won't get your cash back :/

I guess the only thing you can do is keep trying. Have you tried Expedia we booked our room only (already have APs) and received 12% back
 
They have different availability so it's worth a try. Make sure you're ringing the french number, and always ask for their best price. There is supposed to be a 40% off deal on the Canadian site but I cannot seem to get the prices to show up, so they may well be able to offer you that on the phone. Let us know how you get on. I have gone through Topcashback and had no problems. You say it offered you a family room, did you change the options as sometimes it offers a more expensive room and hope people don't notice but you can usually change the room option.
 
I am sooooo anoyed!! The prices have gone up again, even since this afternoon when I posted!!

Can anyone give me the french number, I will call as soon as I get in from work don't care about the cash back if I can just get it at the price I had in mind and not going up all the time!!!

Personally in my experience when I have phoned is that they will only offer the current price that is showing on the website. I found the prices tend to drop in the morning if/when they release a few more rooms.

Thats the problem they only ever have a few rooms at the deal prices, then they release some more later.

Regards to phone number I have usually looked at which country has the best deal then phone the UK number & tell them what deal I want then they transfer me.
 
Panic over!!

Realised I had put the wrong year of birth in for dd so they were charging me for her!!

May still call and see what they can offer.

Still, bit peeved that I can't book online and get cash back but think will do the day I want and pay extra. Only about £60 in it but it's the principle of the silly system!!!

Any other thoughts?

I would definately give the french number a ring - when the recent 40% offer was on i managed to upgrade our hotel and get half board on for £96 !

However originally when i tried to upgrade by phoning the uk number i had no luck they said they couldnt upgrade me

Rang the french number and without asking they offered me the discount room and did it no problem :thumbsup2
