Are the available rooms booked on points from the DVC site the same as what's showing available on the main DW site? I'm waiting to close on my DVC, so all I can look at right now is the main booking site. If studios are showing up available for my dates, does that mean they would show up to be able to book with points on the DVC site, provided the availability stays the same, once I have my member number?

CRO for WDW inventory cannot be booked with points. It is either rooms that were sent to CRO because members traded their points into RCI or another collection or from points that DVD (the developer) still owns for at a resort.

Any time a member trades out their points for a non-DVC Disney vacation (like the cruise, a Disney hotel or Adv by Disney), the lodging those points represent are given to Disney Reservation Center to sell to pay for the trip. RCI trades do not go to DRC. Any inventory owned by DVC either as it hasn't been sold yet or it has been either foreclosed on or taken by Right of First Refusal is also given to DRC to sell. DVC always owns a small portion of the resort that they use to cover for maintenance and that might also be given to DRC if they don't need it for maintenance.

Plus any inventory still not reserved on points 60 days out goes to DRC as well, but sometimes it can be called back if it hasn't been booked and a member wants a points reservation.
