Beautiful shots, Kyle, but SHAME on you for tempting me to move to DSLR-world. The wife of me shot tons of pix with her brand new D200 on our trip to VA/NC last week and I sure envied her...at least until I got back and d/l my S5200 shots. I gotta say that I'll take my S5200 with the 38-380mm zoom range over her D200 with kit lens. Disclaimer: I *do* know that with a superior lens the D200 would clean my clock, image wise.

Thanks Ed. The lens I use mostly is the 18-70mm and I'm thinking that its not one of the better ones. I'm beginning to notice that it's kind of soft.

I believe the "official" kit lens for the D200 is the 18-200mm VR. That is one heck of a lens. I've been reading reviews on the new D80 kit lens, the 18-135mm, and they seem to be very favorable. I think I'm going to upgrade to that sometime next year. Oh and that D80. WOW! A buddy of mine just upgraded from the D70s and it is a SWEEEET camera. Though for now, the D50 is suiting me just fine (oh and not to tempt you any further, the prices are pretty good, especially on ebay with all the people upgrading to the D80). Plus, just think, you and your DW and switch lenses. With her being the pro and all, I see a 70-200 f/2.8 in your families future! ;) ;)

Sunnyvale California (Silicon Valley). Fall is not as colorful here.

Yeah, but it may present a problem: "Honey, it's my turn to use the 10-20; YOU used it ALL DAY yesterday!!!". I'm shooting (no pun intended) for my own separate set o' gear!

These were right around the time I just got my new Canon S3, so not that great, as I was/am still learning to shoot with it :)

Thanks, Kyle, and I can certainly say the same concerning your work. Spent a little time today planning '07 "photo ops": Mickey's World / Beach in July and Williamsburg/Yorktown/Jamestown/Mt. Vernon/Mountains in October.

A good weekend to all.

:lmao: :lmao: it's the red and orange and yellow stuff that comes right before the white stuff, but you probably have no knowledge of that either :lmao:

Excellent! The only thing we have planned for next year is Disney the week after Thanksgiving. Everythings book except the air. other than that, who knows, kind of hard to plan "photo ops" with 3 kids ages 4 and under, although there are 3 birthdays built in as well as the big family x-mas party. Maybe this summer we'll actually get some camping in. Other than that no other planning for me for some years to come. :teeth:

Been down to Miskey's World twice at Christmastime (03 and 04) and it is by far my favorite time of the year to visit. The cooler temps, decorations, and music make The World even MORE magical, if that's possible. Thought about snatching up the Punk (my 8 year old) and going down in December this year, but decided we'd shoot for flim-flamming my wife into a July visit again in 07, and use a few days at the beach as "bait". She is much more a beach person than a DisneyWorld person. I think maybe some therapy might help...

Hey look...I found some Fall in Dallas! Not quite the vibrant fall colors that most of you have posted but I figured I'd share a bit of fall as I know it :) These were taken outside of my church.
